INTRODUCTION4 claims 1178467-1178470 were staked by Bernard Barton to prospect on because of an anomalous gold
in lake sediment sample OGS surveyLOCATION AND ACCESS
Sack lake claims 1178467-1178470 are located in Fisher lake claim map area and the most reasonable access is by floatplane from Vermilion Bay Ont. a distance of about 20 miles south south west
GEOLOGYThe rocks in this area are graywacke mostly fine grained with an abundance of biotite and muscovite, the shear zones and quartz veins are small. There was a 60 ppb au. in a lake sediment sample by OGS and previous sampling by myself in 1995 reavealed that of 22 samples only l contained any gold values, this was sample #0697 which also contained a small amount of molydenite. It is in the area of this sample # 0697 that I diamond drilled in this leport
PREVIOUS WORKTrenching and sampling by Orchan Uranium Mines Stoat lake 1956 Electromagnetic survey by Boylen Fisher lake 1955 Trenching and sampling by Lynx Canada 1972 stripping and sampling by Barton Fisher lake 1994-95 sampling sack lake area by Barton 1995 sampling by Champion Bear Resources Sack lake, Fisher lake 1997
PROCEDUREI flew to Sack lake via Wilderness Air from Vermillion Bay Ont July 18/98 and took sample#500
then set up drill for hole #1 at 830 feet west of and 50 feet south of#1 post on claim 1178470 and drilled a hole 8.5 feet. I had to abandon hole because of a stuck bit.I then moved 6 feet east and drilled a hole 41.1 feet deep vertically and had to stop because of loss of water
in a fracture in the hole.I flew back on July 22/98 and logged the core on July 23 and slit the core for sampling.
8 samples were taken and sent to Accurassay lab in Thunder Bay for assaying for gold, assay results are maked on drill log and the core is stored at the home of Bernard Barton
RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONSI do not believe that this vein and this sampled area are the source of the 60 ppb au sediment sample in
Sack lake . More work should be done in ihis areareport by Bernard Barton prospector lie. no. s6004
