INTRODUCTION

Assessment Work from January 7 to March 2, 2008

Regis Resources Inc. acquired these claims in 2006. They are located in the northeastern section of Cavendish Township. They are approximately 1000 meters north of our main block of claims.

We have recently completed exploration and assessment work on 1104302, 303 and 304. Work was initiated early this winter to review previous exploration results conducted in 2004. We acquired till samples and formulated a program to employ 2 excavators for the purpose of power trenching and sampling.

Winter conditions demand the use of snowmobiles and snowshoes.

Enclosed within this file, are the details of the field work and assessment results for claims:

Township

Cavendish 1104302 1104303 1104304

The areas to be worked were selected according to suitable topography, overburden depth and type, accessibility and geology (OGS maps). Reconnaissance by ATV and on-foot allowed us to map and document our target areas.

We have reviewed the contents of the 2004 assessment files; acquired from the MNDM office in Tweed. The claims were previously held by Blue Marble Mining Corporation and acquired by Regis Resources in December of 2006.

The work report consists ofblazinglflagging claim boundaries, cutting access for ATV's, orientation traverses, prospecting, auger sampling and assay results.

Work consisted of power trenching with our LOP excavator (Sumitomo), a LOP Volvo excavator and auger drilling. The excavator provides more accurate results.

Note: auger refusal often occurs short of the desired depth penetration, due to boulders, heavy gravel, ledge rock and water/sticky ground.

It should be noted that the excavator does requires more effort, support and expense to gain a~;cess to test sites. Rough ground, swamps and heavy bush add to our mobilization and moving time. We make special effort to minimize environmental impact, and every effort is made to restore each site.

Page 4: Prospecting Ex plora tion - geologyontario.mndmf.gov.on.ca · • 3024 Hwy 507 N. P O. Box 291 . Buckhorn Ontario KOL 1 JO 2.3 • Table of Contents Pages 1. Introduction 2 2. Property

We target areas where overburden with potential vermiculite may cover areas of calcitic or dolomitic marble. The depth of overburden varies greatly from a few centimeters to 3 meters in depth. It should be noted that the depth of overburden can be deeper up to 5+ meters in swamps, as observed through completion of work near the mill site.

Vegetation varies from mixed bush, open hardwoods to wet cedar swamps. Many targets lie within swamp covered fault zones, eroded gouges (glacial) and low to deeply eroded valleys and watersheds, which often display softer rock formations.

Generally, most of the area underlying our claims is dominated by granite or marble. Vermiculite bearing marble erodes more quickly than the granite units, and for the most part is covered by various types of overburden. Outcrops and ridges trend northeast about 30 degrees but tend to turn more to the east as you travel through 1104303 and 1104304. This pattern is easily observed when traversing the claims.

This file outlines our assessment of the vermiculite potential of these claims.

Work Description 2008

Claim 1104302

This claim block has received minimal attention to date. Sampling from 2007 produced poor results. The samples were assessed in the field visually. They contained no vemliculite, but mica and pyrite were commonly observed.

Open hardwoods in this area make it accessible to ATV's for sampling, but close proximity to Pencil Lake and cottages; demand careful and non-intrusive exploration of the area. We have completed re-blazing of claim boundaries and flagged areas of interest of machine work.

West of the highway, we can see exposed marble that has weathered and deteriorated. Iron staining is noted and medium size to fine silver colored vermiculite flakes are apparent. The areas tested are very small overall and the geology changes quickly to meta-volcanic rocks with quartz, gneiss, pegmatite and biotitic schist

The area is primarily grassy swamp, shallow overburden with boulders throughout and hardwood ridges that are either dominated by outcrop or very shallow loam type overburden. The overall conditions appeared to have potential to yield good results based on all of our experience and criteria considered for locating vermiculite bearing calcite! marble, but the top ground has been gouged and stripped of overburden. There is no overburden with volume to yield economic deposits. The marble is siliceous and has not weathered in favor of producing vermiculite.

Conclusion The area within the boundaries of this claim, appear to have minimal potential to yield vermiculite.

Based on observations to date, we may undertake further work to cross section with the excavator low lying areas within. Another round of work will determine the final status .

Summary

Claim 1104302

The exploration program for 2007/2008 included prospecting in September (dry conditions) and sampling by auger. We completed the sampling in February 2008 with the excavator.

Most of the terrain is dominated by large expanses of outcrop (granites) and shallow swamps. The overburden has been scoured from the surface, leaving very thin layers of till in the low lying areas.

Prospect samples were assessed in the field. No significant vermiculite was found. To verify visual results, we applied heat to the samples to exfoliate material that may be vermiculite. If none was detected, we did not retain any sample for assaying.

We concentrated our prospecting around a small lake/pond in the southeast quandrant, and a large swamp in the west and northwest quadrant.

See maps showing areas tested and GPS co-ordinates.

In 2008, we mobilized the excavator. We completed excavations to test the swamp east of highway 507 and north of Pencil Lake road.

We constructed trails to target sites. No significant vermiculite was found. Swamp is very shallow and contains less than 1.5 meters of overburden. We attempted to exfoliate samples with fine gold flake. Pyrite is common, very fine mica but no vermiculite was confirmed.

Recommendations: A prospecting and sampling program is planned for the summer of 2008.

Work Description 2008

Claim 1104303

The area was previously trenched in 2004 by Blue Marble Mining. We reviewed their findings and did on site testing with auger drilling parallel to the trenches. We took grab samples for analysis and completed field tests with the torch on micaceous materials that my have potential to be quality vermiculite. Unfortunately, most results were poor and did not warrant complete assay in the laboratory.

We employed the excavator to trench this area to verify results and hopefully complete fill in work to determine our own results.

Winter allow much improved accessibility for the use of excavators. The groomed snowmobile trails are useable. This has allowed us to complete our work quickly and efficiently. Normally outcrop and very rough rocky conditions prove slow and difficult for use of heavy equipment.

We identified a zone of calcite/marble extending from the southwest comer extending to the north east. The zone is +/-200 meters wide. However, the area has very minimal overburden and is generally between .6-1.5 meters in depth. (see maps)

Claim boundaries have been re-blazed and flagged.

We are able to dig to bedrock helping us to expose and verify the bedrock for the purpose of tracking the marble zone.

Power trenching with the Sumitomo LGP SH-60 and a Volvo LGP excavator has helped to complete our observations in difficult swamps with high static water levels. The areas of most interest/potential are generally the most difficult to access. The results from trenches TLl and TL2 are very poor. Overburden is thin and where the marble is identified, no significant vermiculite was found. Assays are being conducted on collected samples.

Low lying areas and watersheds yielded samples occasionally displaying fine silver to gold colored flake. These were very intermittent and continuity could not be traced.

Conclusion Wide valleys and low ridges strike northeast. Cedar swamps overlap most of the zones we outlined for what we anticipated would produce the most favorable results. Swamps are shallow ranging from .75 to.3 meters deep. We did not locate any vermiculite bearing material with depth.

Work will continue through the winter of 2008. We will take advantage of winter conditions.

Summary I ~ ~ i

Claim 1104303 I '"\) The exploration program consisted of prospecting in during autuL(~~~!:H:·;'·H~;F@~F~i'··llr:.w.. __ J surface work from previous workings, determine access points for use of the excavator and completing till sampling (auger). We concentrated on the vermiculite bearing zones associated with marble/calcite.

We reviewed OOS maps and work completed by Blue Marble Corp. during previous years. Our field observations did not support the data and we planned to re~trench some of the workings. We used the excavator to complete parallel trenches (TL-l & TL-2) as well as explore new sites.

Trench TL-l parallels Trench CB (Blue Marble) Trench TL-2 parallels Trench CC (Blue Marble)

It should be noted that sampling by auger is often inconclusive due to rocky conditions. We sampled across a zone of intermittent marble lenses that strike northeasterly (see maps). Most targets encountered bedrock at very shallow depths. The area is dominated by outcrop and very shallow depressions that contain minimal overburden.

The initial excavations revealed minimal potential for conditions that would produce vermiculite. Consequently, we sampled the trenches on 10 meter intervals. If we had been successful in locating more favorable mineral, we would have reduced the sample stations to 2.5 meters. However, we did not locate any significant vermiculite.

Overburden ranges from 30 -150 cm. Much of the area has a thin cover of vegetation and dry loam or clay. In the areas we have explored to date, ground conditions are not conducive to finding vermiculite. Some vermiculite is detected where marble is close to surfac~e and weathered.

(see observations, sample logs and assay results)

Recommendations:

A section of marble intersects the claim from the central south boundary and exits through the northeast corner. The surface conditions are very rugged and much of the zone is below swamp and intermittent water bodies, making exploration difficult. We plan to explore this area in more detail during the summer of2008.

Work Description 2008

Claim 1104304

The area was previously trenched in 2004 by Blue Marble Mining. We reviewed their findings and did on site testing with auger drilling parallel to the trenches. We took grab samples for analysis and completed field tests with the torch on micaceous materials that my have potential to be quality vermiculite. Unfortunately, most results were poor and did not warrant complete assay in the laboratory.

We have 2 excavators on site continuing with cross-section work and power trenching.

Winter allow much improved accessibility for the use of excavators. The groomed sno"mobile trails are useable. This has allowed us to complete our work quickly and efficiently. Normally outcrop and very rough rocky conditions prove slow and difficult for use of heavy equipment.

We identified a zones of calcite/marble extending from the southwest comer extending to the north east. The zone is +/-200 meters wide. However, the area has very minimal overburden and is generally between .6-1.5 meters in depth. The second band of marble parallels this band from the south and is separated by low but steep ridges. The south zone has proven to be barren of significant vermiculite to date. (see maps)

Claim boundaries have been re-blazed and flagged.

We are able to dig to bedrock helping us to expose and verify the bedrock for the purpose of tracking the marble zone.

Power trenching with the Sumitomo LOP SH-60 and a Volvo LOP excavator has helped to complete our observations in difficult swamps with high static water levels. The areas of most interest/potential are generally the most difficult to access. The results from trenches TL3, TL4 and TL5 are poor. Overburden is thin and where the marble is identified, no significant vermiculite was found. Assays are being conducted on collected samples.

Low lying areas and watersheds yielded samples occasionally displaying fine silver to gold colored flake. These were very intermittent and continuity could not be traced.

Conclusions Swamps are shallow ranging from .75 to.3 meters deep. We did not locate any vermiculite bearing material with depth.

Work will continue through the winter of2008. We will take advantage of winter conditions and penetrate the low lying areas with more diligence.

Claim 1104304 f , ,',,' l

The exploration program consisted of prospecting in during autumn ~::E:'f;l~ surface work from previous workings, determine access points for use of the excavator and completing till sampling (auger). We concentrated on the vermiculite bearing zones associated with marble/calcite.

We reviewed OGS maps and work completed by Blue Marble Corp. during previous years. Our field observations did not support the data and we planned to re-trench some of the workings. We used the excavator to complete parallel trenches (TL-3), as well as explore new sites.

Tren(~h TL-3 parallels Trench CD (Blue Marble)

The initial excavations revealed minimal potential for conditions that would produce vermiculite. Consequently, we sampled the trenches on 10 meter intervals. If we had been successful in locating more favorable mineral, we would have reduced the sample stations to 2.5 meters. However, we did not locate any significant vermiculite.

Overburden ranges from 30 -150 cm. Much of the area has a thin cover of vegetation and dry loam or clay. In the areas we have explored to date, ground conditions are not conducive to finding vermiculite. Some vermicuHte is detected where marble is close to surface and weathered.

We completed Trench TL-4 and TL-5 as a result of ground observations which suggested that low lying areas with intermittent outcrop (marble) may lead to discovery of vermiculite deposits.

(see observations, sample logs and assay results)

Recommendations:

A more through prospecting and sampling program is planned for the summer of 2008. We will focus on the south central area of the marble complexes.
