1. NARENDRA DEVA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE & TECHNOLOGY, KUMARGANJ, FAIZABAD (U.P.)

The University:

Narendra Deva University of Agriculture & Technology, Kumarganj, Faizabad was established on October 10, 1975. The Uttar Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958 was amended in 1974 to establish this university.

The functional area of University with respect to teaching, research and extension is spread over the entire eastern U.P. comprising of 26 districts and 7 revenue divisions i.e. Faizabad, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Devi Patan, Basti & Vindhydham.

Location:

University is situated on Faizabad-Raibareilly road at 43 Km. from Faizabad and 25 Km. away from Jagdishpur (Nihalgarh) which is located at Lucknow-Sultanpur road.

(Home Science), M.V.Sc., Ph.D. in Agriculture and PGDCA at main campus of the University, while B. Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) and B.Tech. (Mechanical Engineering) at Akbarpur (Distt.- Ambedkar Nagar). Over all university offers M.Sc.(Agriculture) in 16 subjects, M.Sc.(Forestry) in 2 subjects and Ph.D. in 16 subjects. University has adopted ICAR recommended IV Dean’s Committee curricula in the entire coure programme.

2. CHANDRA SHEKHAR AZAD UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE & TECHNOLOGY, KANPUR (U.P.)

The University:

Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur came into existence by an Act of Uttar Pradesh Legislature and was created vide Uttar Pradesh Shashan Krishi Anubhag-4, Notification No. 1086 – XII – 4, dated March 01, 1975 with merger of two constituent Colleges, theerstwhile Govt. Agriculture College, Kanpur and College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Mathura. However, the Veterinary College has been given an independent status of the Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry University at Mathura. The present status of the University was attained through various phases of growth of its constituent colleges.

Kanpur is situated on Howrah-Delhi route of Northern Railway. The University is located at 8.4 km North-West of Kanpur Central Railway / Bus Station. The University is well connected by road, the mode of conveyance being rickshaw / auto-rickshaw and taxi. Etawah Campus is situated on NH-2 (Shershah Suri Marg) at a distance of 169 km from Kanpur towards Delhi. Etawah is also well connected with train on Howarah-New Delhi main route at a distance of 139 km from Kanpur towards New Delhi. The University:

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Modipuram, Meerut was established on 2nd October, 2000, under Uttar Pradesh Agriculture University Act. (Amended) 2000 vide Government order No. 3204A/ XII – 8–2000 – 400 (96) 2000 dated September 27th, 2000.

Location:

University is situated at Roorkee Road (NH 58), 15 Km away from Sourabh gate bus stand, 12.5 Km. from Bhaishali bus stand, 15.5 Km. from Meerut City Railway Station and 13.5 Km. from Meerut Cant Railway Station. The University: Manyawar Shri Kanshi Ram Ji University of Agriculture & Technology, Banda was estabilished on 02

March 2010 for the development of the agriculture and allied sectors in the Bundelkhand Region comprising two divisions (Jhansi and Chitrakootdham) and seven districts (Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Chitrakoot, Jhansi, Lalitpur, and Jalaun). Location:

The main University campus covering 948 acres is located about 6 km outside the Banda city adjoining 60 - meter wide Banda-Kanpur road on the Junction of bypass Road to Mahoba. The campus is 6 km away from the Railway Station and 5 km from Bus Stand of Banda. District of Banda is bounded in the north by district of Fatehpur, in the east by the district of Chitrakoot, in the west the by district of Hamirpur and Mahoba and in the south by Satna, Panna, and Chhatarpur districts of adjoining state of Madhya Pradesh.


First Academic Session of the University was commenced from 01 September 2011 with two colleges (Agriculture and Horticulture). The University offers B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture degrees and has adopted Course Curricula recommended by Fourth Deans Committee of ICAR. Four more colleges (Forestry, Home Science, Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) are expected to become functional in near future. Sincere efforts are being made to start postgraduate programmes in selected area of specialization.

The 1st Academic session of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture degree programme in the College of Agriculture commenced from 01 September, 2011 with total intake capacity of 40 students. There are 10 departments in this college, namely – (i) Agricultural Economics, (ii) Agricultural Extension, (iii) Agronomy, (iv) Crop Physiology, Biochemistry and Microbiology, (v) Entomology, (vi) Genetics and Plant Breeding, (vii) Plant Pathology, (viii) Seed Science and Technology, (ix) Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry and (x) Statistics and Social Science.

2. College of Horticulture :

The 1st Academic session of B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture programme began from 01 September, 2011 with total intake capacity of 30 students. There are 7 departments in the college, namely (i) Fruit Science, (ii) Vegetable Crops, (iii) Floriculture & Land Scaping, (iv) Post Harvest Technology, (v) Spices and Plantation Crops, (vi) National Resource Management, and (vii) Basic Sciences.

is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Dwitiya Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2006 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 16 of 2006) as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on May 23, 2006.

As per provision of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya (Dwitiya Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2006 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 16 of 2006) as passed by the Uttar Pradesh Legislature and assented to by the Governor on May 23, 2006. The Registrar, Narendra Deva Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwavidyalaya, Faizabad, would organise the Combined Entrance Examination-2012 on rotation for admission in all the programme of the four Agriculture universities.

PROVISION OF VCI REGULATIONS, 2008 : 1. A candidate under General Category for admission to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course must have

passed in each of the subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, and obtained 50% marks in aggregate of these subjects, at the qualifying examination. Admission of students to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course shall be made only on the basis of his/her merit in the competitive entrance examination. No other merit/weightage shall be considered for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course.

2. In respect of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/ the Scheduled Tribes/OBC or any other category of students as specified by the Government from time to time, marks required for admission shall be 10% less than that prescribed for general category. Where the seats reserved for the Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribes students in any State can not be filled for want of requisite number of candidates fulfilling the minimum requirement prescribed from that State, then such vacancies shall be filled up on all India basis with students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes getting not less than the minimum prescribed pass percentage.

18. Allocation of University, Programme and Discipline :

The allocation of University, Programme and Discipline to a successful candidate shall be made on merit-cum-reservation-cum-choice available at the time of counselling. The choice once exercised shall be treated as final and no change shall be allowed there after in this respect, even if vacant seats exist in any other University at a later stage.

The candidates, once allotted the University, Programme and Discipline, shall be required to deposit the fees as decided by Admission Committee at the time of counselling. The selected candidate, who will not able to deposit fee after allocation of University, Programme and Discipline on the time fixed by the admission committee, their admission shall stand cancelled. 19. Qualifying Marks in Combind Agriculture & Technology Entrance Test -2012 :

No minimum qualifying marks required for any Programme.

20. Time of admission :

Admission to all Programme shall be made in the first semester of the academic session.

21. Counselling :

i. The qualified candidates, as per merit, shall be called for counselling on a specified date and time for consideration to admission in various Undergraduate, Master’s and Ph.D. Programmes. The counselling will continue till the last seat in each Programme is filled-up. The candidate will be informed by post at his/her mailing address given in the application form. The counseling letter may also be downloaded from the website ww.upcatet.com. The University will not be responsible for non-delivery/late delivery of letter.

ii. No letter, fax or telegram enquiring about the result of the Combind Agriculture & Technology Entrance Test– 2012 will be entertained.

iii. The candidates will have to report at the counselling place as per schedule given in counselling letter for checking of relevant documents and depositing prescribed fee. Those candidates who do not turn up at their call will be given a chance at the end of the day. They can claim only the Programmes in which seats are available at that time and as per their qualifications/groups.

iv. The candidates coming for personal appearance should bring alongwith them the following documents (in Five sets) for checking and depositing before counselling.

22. Rough Work :

The candidate will not be allowed to do any rough work or writing work on the answer sheet. All rough work is to be done in the Test Booklet itself.

23. Procedure to be followed in the Examination Hall :

(i) Answer Sheet (OMR) will be given to the candidates 15 minutes before the commencement of theTest.

(ii) Immediately after receiving the OMR Answer Sheet, the candidate will need to fill in the required particulars in the answer sheet with Black Ball Point Pen. All most precaution should be taken while filling required circles.
