Introduction

All India Federation of Astrologers' Societies was founded in Delhi on9th May 2001 i e Samvat 2058 Jyeshtha Krishna Dwiteeya Wednesday inAnuradha nakshatra and Parigh yoga. It is registered under Society Act - xxiof 1860 and has registration no. S-39420/2001.

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES OF THIS FEDERA TION ARE AS BELOW :

• To work for the unity of astrologers, palmists, numerologists, vastuspecialists and practitioners of any occult science and to create a commonplatform for them.

• To unite other societies, registered or unregistered, national or internationalworking for same cause on a single platform and to strengthen mutualrelations.

• To promote education in the field of astrology and allied subjects and set alevel of competence nationally.

• To run, manage, supervise and organize education & training centres,teaching courses for astrology and other occult sciences.

• To print or publish books, magazines, periodicals, journals and othereducation related technical materials.

• To propagate and work for the cause of Astrology, Palmistry, Numerology,Vastu, Tantra and various other related subjects.

• To hold seminars, conferences, workshops, exhibitions and public meetings.

• To honour and award the knowledgeable in the field of astrology andoccultism.

• To get national and international recognition for astrology and other occultsciences from schools, colleges and universities.

• To perform, manage or call for various yagyas, anushthans or lectures onspirituality and occultism by various learned personalities for thedevelopment of vedic science in India and abroad and thus aim for worldpeace.

COURSES OF AIFAS :

The candidates who wish to learn astrology may opt for AIFAS certificatecourses. These courses are so designed that they are useful for every one.

Vastu Ratna : This course is meant for students desirous of studying vastuand want to become vastu consultant. It is also beneficial for architects,builders and for those who intend to construct a house. For housewives toothis course is good for making the interior decoration compatible with Vastu.

Vastu Shastracharya : After Vastu Ratna or those students who are awareof Vastu laws but are unable to use it should opt for this course. In thiscourse special emphasis is on rectification of Vastu faults. Vastu details foroffices, industries, buildings and cities, temples etc. are taught in this course.

Vastu Rishi : Alongwith revision of Vastu in its multi-dimensionalmanifestations, vastu of historical places and town-planning, colonies etc. istaught in this course. Remedies of higher potency are also included in thestudy course. A self study of the original texts of Vastu is also done. It ismandatory to write a project and a thesis.

Vastu Maharshi : Like Jyotish Maharshi, Vastu Maharshi has been designedfor research in Vastu. For this programme, research and publication of paperson Vastu are essential.

Ank Jyotishacharya : Numerology is taught in this course. Student is taughtabout radical no., lucky no., name no. and the method of prediction usingthese nos. How to fix your name using numerology is taught here.

Samudrik Ratna : This course is suitable for those students, who wish tolearn Palmistry. Analysis of palm, thumb, mounts, signs and different kindsof lines is taught so that one can predict effectively.

Samudrik Shastracharya : After Samudrik Ratna this course gives completeknowledge of palmistry. How to predict for specific questions on health,finance, profession, education, longevity etc. is taught here. Remedies arealso explained. Analysis of face reading is also taught.

Samudrik Rishi : Alongwith revision of palmistry and face reading, analysisof palm and face of important persons of the world is done in this course. Aself study of the original texts of samudrik shastra is also done. It is mandatoryto write a project and a thesis.

Samudrik Maharshi : Like Vastu and Jyotish Maharshi, in this coursestudents undertake research on Palmistry, Shapes of face and Numerologyand publish their research papers in journals.

Jyotish Ratna : This course has been designed for amateur students whoare putting their first step into astrology. The course comprises of fundamentalcalculations, planets in different signs and houses of horoscopes andpredictions thereof. Using of panchang is also taught. This course is meantto give a grasp of fundamentals of astrology.

Jyotish Bhushan : This is a second step in astrology after Jyotish Ratna.Here, additional calculations and complete analysis of horoscope andremedies thereof is taught. A comprehensive information is provided onHoroscope Matching and Muhurtas. After this course the student is able topredict or match the horoscopes and find muhurtas of common use.

Jyotish Prabhakar : The syllabus includes Horary astrology and Varshphal(Annual predictions). Detailed knowledge of Horary and annual horoscope istaught. Additionally student is taught about shadbal- the six fold planetarystrength.

Jyotish Shastracharya : This is the last step of astrology course. In thiscourse an introduction to different systems of astrology like Jaimini or KrishnaMurthy system is given to students for providing a wider knowledge.UnderMundane Astrology, predicting events of the country and the world andforecasting weather is taught here. Longevity calculations are also taught.

Jyotish Rishi : This course is meant for those astrologers who know astrologyand are practising it but are not strong in forecasting. The course aims atrevising and honing predictive skills through predictive techniques & matchingof horoscopes. Analysis of important horoscopes is done and basic texts ofastrology are studied. It is mandatory to write a thesis & complete a project.

Jyotish Maharshi : This programme is meant for research. Collection ofdata and research are the aims. To verify the theories described in ancienttexts and to formulate new principles are the main objectives.

The duration may be 1 to 3 years. A thesis and publication of articles injournals or magazines are essentials for this course.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR AIFAS COURSES :

The students desiring admission in any course should fill up the 2 formsenclosed with this booklet and deposit the money along with form at thedesired centre of study.The amount may be deposited by a demand draft or cheque in favour of centreor chapter chairperson or by cash.

Please decide the course of study of your choice and confirm the durationand timing of course from the centre at the time of admission.

ELIGIBILITY FOR AIFAS COURSES : There are no prerequisites ofknowledge in Astrology for Jyotish Ratna, Vastu Ratna, Ank Jyotishacharyaand Samudrik Ratna. Any person who has passed 10+2 can get admission.

The admissions are given in the following steps. Jyotish Ratna, JyotishBhushan, Jyotish Prabhakar, Jyotish Shastracharya. After passing VastuRatna admission may be sought in Vastu Shastracharya. Similarly, afterSamudrik Ratna admission may be sought in Samudrik Shastracharya.

Rishi Programme is a study of original texts and examples of importantpersonalities or buildings is done. A revision of the basic course is also done.The practising astrologers, Vastu specialists or Palmists who are desirous of

strengthening their knowledge may take admission in Rishi Programme. Theminimum requirement for Jyotish Rishi is Jyotish Shastracharya or equivalentor 3 years experience in astrology.

Practising Vastu specialists or those who have done Vastu Shastracharya,one may join Vastu Rishi. Similarly after Samudrik Shastracharya or practisingPalmist may join Samudrik Rishi.

For research in astrology, admission may be taken in Jyotish Maharshi. Forthis requirement is Jyotish Rishi or 5 years experience in astrology.

For research in Vastu admission is offered in Vastu Maharshi. For this vastuRishi or 2 years experience in Vastu is essential.

For research in Samudrik Shastra students may take admission in SamudrikMaharshi. The desired qualification for admission is Samudrik Rishi or 2years experience.

FEE STRUCTURE OF AIFAS COURSES : The fee for various courses ofAIFAS in diffrent chapters of AIFAS in India except NCR shall be as under :-

TIME PERIOD OF COURSES : Each course will be completed in 6 months.These on few centres can be completed in 3 months on the basis of morefrequent classes. Out of this last 2 classes are meant for examinations. Fewclasses are earmarked for discussions and invited guests. According to thesyllabus time duration of classes may be reduced or extended.

DURATION OF COURSES : Basically each course will be of one semesterof 6 months. The classes will be of 2 hours on Saturday and Sunday or anyother day as decided by the chapter.

All courses are available on short term durations also. These will have classesfor three to four days in a week and will be completed in 3 months. The

students desiring to learn astrology quickly may choose these short termcourses. The syllabus and total hours of studies are same for long term andshort term courses.

All Maharshi programs are of 1 year duration. The duration of program maybe more or less depending on the completion of research.

For the sake of convenience of students, classes may be organized in theevening. Kindly contact the Chapter Chairman for details of days, time andthe courses offered.

COURSE MATERIAL : The desired study material will be provided to everystudent by the centre. Required text book will be given to students. Additionallystudents will be given horoscopes in astrology courses or a compass etc. invastu course.

A list of additional recommended books will be given to you which you canpurchase from the market.

EXAMINATIONS : The examinations will be conducted at the end of semester.Each course shall comprise 2 papers. It is essential to secure minimum35% marks in each paper. Minimum 50% marks are required in aggregate.Only then students will be issued a certificate.

The unsuccessful or absent student may sit in examinations in the nextsemester after paying additional examination fees of Rs. 500/-. If they wantto revaluate one paper only they should deposit Rs. 200/- only. The re-evulation fees for all papers should be Rs. 500/-.

In Rishi course one has to write detailed analysis of an example problem anda thesis on comparative study of two or more texts on a given subject. It isnecessary to obtain minimum 35% marks in each and minimum of 50%marks in aggregate.

For Jyotish Maharshi, the viva voce examination for thesis will be conductedby an expert of that area and his decision will be final for approval of thesis.Completeness and new ideas will be the deciding factors.

ATTENDANCE : Minimum 70% attendance is compulsory for appearing inthe examination. In special circumstances the decision of the Chapterchairman will be final.

LANGUAGE : Every course will be conducted in Hindi, English and regionallanguage.

The study material will also be provided in same language. If due to somereason the text material is not available in regional language then the studentsmay opt for Hindi or English texts. However the student can write in regionallanguage in examinations.

The admission fee to any course will be as per the fee structure for Non-NCRregion the irrespective of center there admission sought. The answer sheetfor question papers of correspondence course have to be submitted with thechapter. After securing minimum 50% marks in these, the examinations forcorrespondence courses will be held along with regular course examinationsat the chapter.
