At Kincoppal – Rose Bay we seek the extraordinary in every ordinary moment. We find it in the magical capacity of a four year old making an extraordinary discovery in the Reggio Emilia inspired Joigny Early Learning Centre, explaining “Learning is when your brain thinks…”; or senior girls in Women and Leadership Forums hearing remarkable leaders such as Professor Marie Bashir AC, CVO and Gail Kelly, Westpac CEO, share extraordinary life moments.

As Principal, I encourage our students to challenge themselves, to stretch their imaginations and to attempt new endeavours. Students learn within and outside the classrooms. They need a broad range of opportunities to develop their capabilities as well-rounded individuals and to become informed and compassionate global leaders.

With a tradition of educating ‘Hearts and Minds’ since 1882, Kincoppal – Rose Bay prepares young people for lives of courage and compassion. As Sacred Heart educators, our role is to develop each child’s gifts and talents, whatever they may be; and to nurture and empower our students to believe that they can make a difference to their world.

Kincoppal – Rose Bay is unique in that we cater for girls and boys P–6 and girls only in day and boarding for Years 7–12. Our boys are offered exceptional opportunities in learning, leadership and sport that prepares them well for their senior schooling.

At Kincoppal – Rose Bay we offer a transformative education. We strive to educate the hearts and minds of each student and to encourage them to be the best that she or he can be. We offer your daughters and sons the challenge of achieving personal excellence in

diverse areas of school life, through participation in wide-ranging curricular and stimulating

co-curricular programs.

We are small enough for each student to be well known and supported, yet large enough to offer a broad and dynamic range of opportunities.

Kincoppal – Rose Bay is a member of the international group of 200 Sacred Heart Schools in 44 countries, conducted by the Society of the Sacred Heart. This Catholic teaching order was established by Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat in France in 1800. Schools of this global network are connected by a strong sense of community and the educational vision that stems from the vision of the Foundress, as articulated in the five goals of a Sacred Heart education:

• ApersonalandactivefaithinGod

• Adeeprespectforintellectualvalues

• ThebuildingofcommunityasaChristianvalue

• Asocialawarenesswhichimpelstoaction

• Personalgrowthinanatmosphereofwise freedom.

Each of the pages of this prospectus gives an insight to the ways in which we at Kincoppal – Rose Bay live out these goals. I encourage you to seek more details on our comprehensive website (krb.nsw.edu.au).

I look forward to welcoming you to our School and sharing with you the unique difference a Sacred Heart education can offer your child.

Flexible boarding leave that is ‘family friendly’ is welcomed by families who value the options available

for girls to spend time at weekends with approved family or friends. Many boarders enjoy staying in the boarding houses to participate in a variety of supervised weekend

activities. These include surfboard riding lessons, ice skating, kayaking, yum cha, movies or shopping.
