Problem statement

• A Brazilian product designer student, very creative, collaborative, curious and is currently working as an intern at an engineering company needs a way to reset his professional objectives so he can achieve his professional goals because he feels unappreciated at his current job and he needs to find his way to fulfill his professional dreams.

CREATE TWO PROTOTYPES

The two selected ideas were:1. Stay at firm but seeking new challenges and volunteering his time to

help others, there are many jobs available where he could express his creativity.

2. Stakeholder should quit his job and open his own company on a leap of Faith

First prototype

Page 6: Prototype and test

Evaluation: This part is still being done and in the near future the stakeholder will be able to decide on what’s best for him.

Final decision: The test is still running and there is not a final decision made.

Second prototype - Stakeholder should quit his job and open his own company on a leap of Faith

I could not find any stakeholder interested in testing this prototype. Many told me it is too risky and there are many other steps that are not on the charter.I believe it is risky but at the same time it can be very rewarding.

User experience (1st prototype)

1. For the short term the user said it has low risks and it can be easily done;

2. Stakeholder told he can use this prototype 1 to solve other problems;

3. Stakeholder is still working on the SWOT analysis and in the future can make a best decision;

4. Seems easy to use;5. It is being helpful to the stakeholder

Feedback

• Positive: • Easy to implement;• Can be easily changed if stakeholder is unhappy;• Is usable for other situation.

• Negative:• Not a lot change from today’s situation;• Takes a while to have an actual effect on stakeholder’s problem.

Lessons learned

It is very important to test the prototypes because it is hard to predict the difficulties of building the real solution. Also, the stakeholder needs to test the prototype. If it is effective then it can be transformed into a final solution.Sometimes, the way we think is not the way the stakeholder sees and feels about the prototype offered.

Next steps

• Improve the prototypes and test then again;• Wait for the results of the stakeholder (is still testing the first

prototype);• Test more the solution to have more feedback and improve even

more the solution;• Find other ways that can be faster to have an impact on stakeholder’s

problem.
