Speaker Biographies Steven Moyer is Chief Executive Officer of Age Well Senior Services in Laguna Hills. His vast 35+ years of Corporate leadership experience includes involvement in numerous business sectors including marketing, accounting, merchandising, nutrition development, real estate, HR, legal and customer service. Steve has participated in a variety of non-profit committees and/or boards including: Age Well Senior Services as a board member (eventually becoming Board President), Multiple Sclerosis Business Leaders Committee, University of California, Irvine - Business Advisory Committee, and the California Restaurant Association. Through his service on the Board of Age Well Senior Services, Steve has recognized a passion he possesses: A commitment to serving and caring for seniors. It is through this passion that Steve has been chosen and has since accepted his new role as CEO at Age Well Senior Services.

Erin Ulibarri is the Policy, Planning, & Community Engagement Manager with the Orange County Office on Aging. Erin has been with the Office on Aging for over 12 years in a number of capacities within the division and serves on several community coalitions and boards. Prior to the Office on Aging, she was with the Orange County Social Services Agency.

Donna Boston is the Director of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Emergency Management Division, managing the County of Orange Emergency Management Program. She has served at the City and County levels of California government and now serves on the Federal Emergency Management Agency, National Advisory Council. Ms. Boston has been involved with emergency preparedness, response to emergency situations, disaster recovery operations, and hazard mitigation planning in her 24 years in the field of emergency management.

Tim Moy has been the Director of Security for Laguna Woods Village since 2016. Prior to this role, he served as a Commander with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and retired with over 31 years of service. Tim was responsible for restructuring the Village emergency management protocols to include an Emergency Operations Center, Incident Management Team, Care and Reception Centers, and the use of volunteer Building and Block Captains. In September of 2017, the American Red Cross recognized this plan for “Excellence in Disaster Preparedness.”

Patty Barnett Mouton began her career in healthcare as a representative for divisions of Johnson & Johnson, and subsequently in leadership positions with the American Red Cross Blood Services. She has served as the Vice President, Outreach & Advocacy, for Alzheimer’s Orange County since 2005. She manages community and clinical outreach, as well as the Advocacy and Public Policy activities at the local, state and federal levels. She has served as co-chair of the OC Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment (POLST) Coalition, now known as the OC Advance Care Planning Partners, since 2010. She has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Sacred Dying Foundation. Patty has been a featured lecturer at many national and statewide conferences and has several articles published about the work done with Dr. Vincent Nguyen in the area of Advance Care Planning.

Dr. Almaas Shaikh is a native of the Golden State and spent much of her educational years in Los Angeles, in addition to her early professional career as a dually board certified trauma and critical care surgeon at St. Francis Medical Center. In July of 2014, Dr. Shaikh took on the role of Trauma Medical Director at Mission Medical Center. Under her leadership, the Trauma Program has expanded its clinical services, as she has led the integration of a team-based approach to trauma care. Dr. Shaikh also engages in trauma prevention and intervention by involving her team in trauma outreach services. Much of her community outreach work is founded on the development of partnerships and networks with local law enforcement agencies and a variety of community organizations.

In memory of Denise “Denny” Welch, who volunteered tirelessly in her service to seniors, local volunteers were nominated for this award. Thank you to all those who dedicate time to serving others, especially the seniors of south Orange County.
