Howard Song, MD, PhDJoins PeaceHealth Medical Group Cardiovascular Surgery

PeaceHealth Southwest and Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Knight Cardiovascular Institute have partnered to offer enhanced cardiovascular services throughout the southwest Washington area. Dr. Song, chief of the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at OHSU has been named medical director of the cardiac surgery program at PeaceHealth Southwest.

Dr. Song specializes in all types of adult cardiovascular disease, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, and aortic aneurysms. His special areas of clinical interest include aortic and mitral valve repair, transplantation, ventricular assist devices, and aortic aneurysms. He is actively involved in clinical and basic science research on cardiovascular diseases, reviews numerous Cardiothoracic Surgery journals, and has authored more than 50 journal articles.
