General Guidelines for Producing Your Perennial Mixed Combos

NOTE: All photos shown in this brochure depict 14-in./35-cm containers.

Check the PanAmerican Seed/Kieft Seed Product Information Guide for specific details on all crop culture aspects of these products.

Plug Production

Medium: Any well-drained, peat-based medium with pH of 5.5 to 6.2.

Daylength: Natural daylength.

Temperature: Minimum night temperature of 45°F (7°C).

Plant Growth Regulators: Generally not needed if outside grown, except Digitalis (see Product Information Guide).

Fertilization: Maintain soil EC at 0.8 to 1.2 during growing season.

Plug Size: For 5-gallon finish containers, use larger plugs such as 50 or 70.

Sales Season: Late Spring to Early Summer

Hardiness Zones: While specific zone information is included for every variety, timing for production and finish generally reflects USDA Hardiness Zones 4 to 7.
