What are our students'career goals?

Dear Friends, Family Members and Supporters: 

We recently wrapped up a successful first quarter celebrating ourmany honor roll achievements with our first academic pep rally ofthe 2015‐16 school year. Nearly half of our student body wasrecognized for outstanding grades, including nearly 60 percent ofour senior class. All members of the Class of2016 are busy applying for scholarships andcompleting college applications, and ourjuniors have been prepping for ACTs. We alsorecognized our Outstanding Corporate WorkStudy students for first quarter ‐ SophomoreHollis Coe, who works for NextGear and JuniorFred Rustin who works for EnviroForensics 

were both nominated bytheir supervisors foroutstanding performance. Hollis' supervisor said:"He has a professional approach to everyone heinteracts with from the President of the Company to his group members." Fred'ssupervisor said: "Fred acts like a  full‐time employee andtakes his tasks andresponsibilities  veryseriously."  Two students were

recognized for having the highest GPA:Junior Cheick Diallo, who works for

 Archbishop Tobin Supports CRN with Visitto the Vatican

Speaking at a gathering of Providence Cristo Rey board members,donors, partners, stakeholders andguests, Archbishop Joseph W. Tobinsaid: "When I came to Indianapolis, oneof the things I was so impressed with isthe strong support for CatholicInstitutions. Cristo Rey is reaching a partof the population that is invisible tomany." The Archbishop joined FatherJohn Foley, Founder and Honorary Chairof the Cristo Rey Network for a July

visit to meet with a member of PopeFrancis' Council of Cardinals on behalfof the Cristo Rey Network. "We had avery warm welcome. They were veryimpressed with the Cristo Rey missionand vision," said Tobin. The ministry ofCristo Rey spans more than 30 differentdiocese throughout the United States.

Board MembersWayne Pack, Chief Human Resources Officer withCommunity Health Network has more than 30 yearsof experience as a strategic business partner in thearea of human resources management with RCACorp, General Electric, and Thompson ConsumerElectronics, his latest appointment being with

BrightPoint North America. He earned a bachelor of science degree insecondary education from Tennessee Technology University.Tom Bennett, CFO Schwarz Partners, LP worked in banking inCincinnati  until 1996 when he moved his family to Indianapolis to workas CFO for local entrepreneur, Jack Schwarz. Schwarz Partners is anapproximate $2.5 billion total revenue company with more than 4,000employees. Bennett served on the board of Happy Hallow Camp forChildren in Brown County and more recently on the boards of Agape, acharity founded locally to keep foster siblings together in a safeenvironment, and Safe Families for Children, designed to help familiesin crisis. He and his family are members of St. Elizabeth SetonCatholic Church, Carmel.

  Citizen's Energy Corporate WorkStudy partner supervisor Mike Miller,recently told students what it is like tobe an engineer on a $12 billion tunnel.Construction on the project ­ one of thelargest underground storage units in thestate, running beneath Lucas OilStadium, requires skills in problem­solving, math and science, said Miller, agraduate of Lumen Christi CatholicHigh School, Jackson, Mich., andMichigan State.
