With 400+ college projects, here are just a few examples of our experience.

University at Buffalo – Kapoor Hall – Rehabilitation and UpgradesBuffalo, NY I Completed 2012 I $45 Million

Erdman Anthony provided engineering, design, and construction- assistance services for the complete remediation and demolition of existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to allow for a new MEP design for laboratories, classrooms, and office space in Kapoor Hall, the 160,000-square-foot state-of-the-art home of UB’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Kapoor Hall is certified LEED Gold®.

The scope of work included:• HVAC systems• Laboratory exhaust systems• Building and laboratory plumbing systems• Central process and utility systems with associated distribution piping• Power-distribution system• Grounding system• Indoor and outdoor lighting• Standby power and emergency generators• Life-safety systems• All associated instrumentation and controls

Kutztown University – Rickenbach Learning Center – Auditorium RenovationKutztown, PA I Completed 2015 I $1 Million

Erdman Anthony provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for the transforma-tion of an existing black box theater into a 200-seat lecture hall and auditorium now used for instruction and performances. The design included complete interior demolition of the existing two-story theater.

Mechanical Design Features

• New hot and chilled water single-zone variable-volume air-handling unit • Meeting acoustical requirements• Two gas-fired condensing “summer” boilers to allow the building to be dehumidified during the summer, when the campus steam plant is shut down

Electrical Design Features• New power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems • Lighting design utilizes LED and fluorescent technologies • Programmable dimming system with multiple zone control • Energy-saving occupancy-sensing devices and emergency-egress lighting
