iSeal 810 Water Repellent

Product Description

iSeal 810 water repellent is a water dilutable siliconate

used for imparting a colorless non yellowing water

repellent surface finish to mineral building material

without significantly reducing water vapor permeability.

It prevents water penetration and protects surface from

rising damp, UV degradation, airborne dirt, smog,

industrial fumes, acid rain, and chloride ions and will

effectively stabilize the surface for 5 to 10 years.

Product Advantages

Siliconates are the most widely used water repellents because of the following advantages over other

impregnating agents:

• Good penetration depth.

• Constant hydrophobic surface, without changing of its color nor appearance.

• UV-stability.

• Resistance to bacteria and fungus.

• Tack free, durable finish.

• No change in water vapor permeability; the pores and capillaries are not sealed.

• No change in appearance of the substrate; the treated surface does not become glossy.

• No separation of binder.

• No formation of harmful by products.

Application Fields

• Surface treatment for concrete.

• Making plastered surface, aerated concrete, manufactured and natural stones. water repellent.

• Making low fired clay products water repellent such as roof tiles, bricks, floor tiles, flower pots.

• Primer for emulsion paints and plasters.

• Applied as it is by brushes, or rollers or spray gas.


Method of Use

The surface should be clean, dry and free of any contamination that may harmfully affect the adhesion of iSeal

810. Dirt, fats, oils, organic substances and dust should be removed by mechanical grinding.

Do not wash surface with water!!

iSeal 810 is applied to cleaned surface by brushing or spraying in minimum 2 layers. For surfaces with frequent

contact with water and especially on floor surfaces, we recommend applying 3 layers of iSeal 810.

Apply flood coats to ensure deep penetration and full saturation for effective water repellency. Optimum

application temperature is between 5 C and 35 C: low temperature retards cure while high temperature

speeds up curing. High humidity also affects the final finish.

Reasonably good water repellency develops after 24 hours under room temperature.

Dipping process is ideal for impregnating bricks, roofing tiles, clinkers, etc.

Impregnated surfaces can be over painted at any time with most emulsion paints and cement paints. The

resultant coatings show good adhesion.

Health & Safety

• Appropriate safety measures must be taken while handling the product.

• Protective glasses and gloves should be worn while using the product.

• Any splashes on the skin should be washed off with plenty of water.

• Spraying should be done with an airless spray. While spraying, the solution should not be atomized and

inhalation of the spray mist should be avoided.

Packing & Storing

• Available in gallons of 4 kg and drum of 20 kg.

• Can be stored for a period of 12 months between 5 C and 25 C in a dry and cool room.


iSeal Bond 901

Product Description

iSeal Bond 901 latex dispersion is an acrylic-based material suitable for a range of construction applications (primers, mortars and concrete) offering significant improvement in setting time and mechanical.

Clean the surface by scrapping, sand blasting to remove dirt and loose particles• Treat surface with 5%-10% hydrochloric acid, followed by complete neutralization with water, which will improve bonding of the coating. Oils, greases & mould-release agents can be cleaned with solvents. • iSeal bond 901 can be used as a primer for roof coating: diluted with 50% water and applied on a clean surface.• It can be also used as adjuvant for all kind of mortars: diluted with water before adding to the mortar. Dilution percentage depends on the type of mortar. • Application should be fast as it cures fast.

Product Description

• iSeal Primer is a single component, transparent, deep penetrating solvent based polyurethane coating primer. It cures by reaction with ground and air moisture. • iSeal Primer 501 is used for increasing corrosion resistance of mineral based surfaces.

Product Description

iSeal sealant 200 is polyurethane based one component sealant. It prevents passage of air, water, smog and enhances the visual appearance of the whole construction ensuring the proper function of the building and its durability. iSeal sealant 200 is cold applied and cold curing, and cures by reaction with ground and air moisture.

Application fields

• It is used for interior and exterior expansion joints in buildings, all vertical & horizontal dilatations between prefabricate elements in high buildings, towers, terrace dilatations, wood, metal based joints as a joint waterproofing sealant.• Joint of sealing against draught on heavy and light prefabrication and traditional masonry• Joining of tiles and ridge tiles.


Method of Use

• The joint edges must be dry and clean from oil, dust, dirt, and any other materials. • On new concrete, wait first for it to cure out and stabilize (minimum 4 weeks). A preliminary test is necessary on siliconized tiles. It is up to the users to check the compatibility with the surface in terms of adherence, chemical compatibility and staining (make a pre-test if required).• Size correctly the joint according to the predictable movements and to the capacity of movement.• For best results, iSeal sealant 200 should be applied further to iSeal Primer application. • After the primer is cured, use Polyethylene wicks for filling wide joint edges. The bottom of joint should not show notches likely to cause bubbling. Protect the edges of the joint by adhesive tape for a better finishing.• Apply the sealant in one layer for joints of small width, in three layers for joints of large width, the two first onto the edges of the joint and the third onto the bottom. • Smooth with water free of additives. • Press the sealant correctly against the edges and the bottom of the joint while avoiding the air bubbles inclusion. • Remove the masking tape.• Can be later painted after full curing. Use rather paintings in dispersal (acrylic, vinyl) and realize a preliminary test. The movement of the joint can entail the crack of the painting.• Equipment cleaning: Wet sealant can be cleaned with ethyl acetate or other suitable solvents. Dry sealant only removed by mechanical applications.

Method of Use

1- Surface preparation: Application surface should be clean and dry in order to ensure the proper adhesion and durability of the membrane. Dirt, dust, paint, oil, old coatings need to be removed, and any surface irregularities need to be smoothened. Holes and cracks need to be fixed prior to the membrane application for long lasting waterproofing results.2- Priming: Prime locally with iseal primer 501 and allow to dry. The duration time after applying should be minimum 3 to 4 hours.N.B. Fill any prepared cracks and/or joints with pu sealant 303 & cover with fabricsFor cracks repairing, apply a layer of iSeal Watertight over all cracks and while wet, cover with a correct cut stripe of fabric. Press it to soak, then saturate the fabric with enough iSeal Watertight, until it’s fully covered. Allow 12 hours to cure.3- Coating : Apply with a brush or roller to a thickness of 1.20 mm. Apply directly from the pail without mixing.

Consumption for Standard Usage:

Surface porosity, temperature and application method can alter consumptionThe first coat is applied after 6 to 8 hours of applying the primer, then the second coat is applied 12-24 hours. When fully cured, a seamless film of membrane is formed and bond to the surfaces applied.

Attention

Do not apply the iSeal Watertight over 0.6 mm thickness (dry film) per layer. For best results, the temperature during application and cure should be between 5˚C and 35˚C. Low temperatures retard cure while high temperature speed up curing. High humidity may affect the final finish.
