Re: Kimball Perry

I’m writing to recommend Kimball Perry for potential employment with you.

As a veteran prosecutor, I wish all journalists were as professional and competent as Kimball. He covered some of the most horrific trials and complicated cases, presenting them in way that made them easily readable and easy to understand. He built a reputations for getting the news first, being fair and accurate – the goal of all in his business. Kimball was at the courthouse every day and became very well know. He also knew everybody and they talked to him because they knew he wouldn’t write one-sided stories.

He is a professional communicator whether it was talking to sources, interviewing victims or using Twitter and Facebook to spread his message as widely as possible. He is also probably the hardest working journalist I have ever met, and is relentless in his pursuit of news.

Kimball covered a number of capital murder cases I tried, and always had a knack for getting to the real issue in cases. He would be able to grasp these issues and get input from every side before writing his story. On occasion I didn’t like his stories, as they would sometimes cast someone in our office or law enforcement in a bad light. But when this did happen, I couldn’t say that what he wrote wasn’t accurate or fair.

I give him the highest recommendation possible. Respectfully, Mark PiepmeierChief Assistant ProsecutorHamilton County Prosecutor’s [email protected](513) 946-3078
