Overview

Progress analysis is used to obtain information on the state of your project

and how it is developing. This enables you to take corrective action if the

project is varying from its plan.

You can use the budget or the planned POC determined by the system to

represent the planned services in Project System reports.

Progress analysis supplies current data at all times while the project is

running.

Prerequisite for POC (Percentage of Completion) are:

Basic Start Date

Basic End Date / Duration (on maintaining Duration Basic End date is

calculate by the system

Measurement method for POC

POC weight for the WBS

Actual Start Date (During Execution, to be given every month)

Actual POC for the WBS (During Execution, to be given every month)

Running CNE1 (to calculate the POC report by SAP)

Progress EvaluationProcedure Detail1. In transaction code CJ20N open the Project required

2. Select the 2nd level WBS and in Dates Tab enter the Basic Start and Basic End date

3. Select the 2nd level WBS and in Progress Tab enter the POC Weight, Measurement

method for plan and actual as TIME PRO. and ESTIMATION.

4. Similarly, Select all the 2nd level WBS and in Dates Tab enter the Basic Start and

Basic End date

5. Similarly, Select all the 2nd level WBS and in Progress Tab enter the POC Weight,Measurement method for plan and actual as TIME PRO. and ESTIMATION.

6. Similarly, Select the 3rd / 4th / 5th / 6th level WBS of corresponding 2nd level WBS

and in Dates Tab enter the Basic Start and Basic End date (can be same as 2nd level

is not available)

7. Similarly, Select the 3rd / 4th / 5th / 6th level WBS of corresponding 2nd level WBS

and in Progress Tab enter the Measurement method for plan and actual as TIME

PRO. and ESTIMATION. Dont enter POC weight in 3rd / 4th / 5th / 6th, as we

are calculating POC at second level.

8. During Execution stage, If the process for those WBS as started enter the Actual Startdate in corresponding WBS Dates Tab.

9.During Execution stage, If the process for those WBS as started enter the Actual POC

in percentage in corresponding WBS Progress Tab. Select the line item and select icon

10. Enter the Actual POC in percentage in corresponding Financial Period opened.

11. Carry out this activity for all those WBS for which work is going on for

corresponding WBS follow procedure Point 9.

12. Save the Project.

13.Calculate Monthly Project Progress report.

In transaction CNE1, Enter the Following

1.Project : Project ID,

2. With Hierarchy: Selected (to consider all WBS below)

3.With orders: Selected (to consider network/ order if any)4. Progress version:100 (progress version)

5.To Period:(financial period)

6.Test Run: Not selected (test run is just a check functionality)

System displays that system has calculated progress report.



14. To Display created Progress report

Transaction code: CNE5,

Enter data base profile as SAPPS_EV0001Controlling area as 1000

Project: Project ID

15. System displays the Progress Report

16.System Displays Detail for that selected WBS for the total planned period (financial

Period)

17. System Displays also in graphical format.





18. Create Snap shot of every month end report create Project version. Project Version

is distinguished by version key, description and Version group.

From progress Analysis Overview screen select Edit-Scope of current data-All fields

Version GroupProject Name

Version KeyprojectnamP01 (every next report will have running

number of 02, 03, 04.)

Description : can be anything to distinguish the report.Select continue to save the version.

19. In initial screen, select the DB Profile icon.

Select the check box Version data in DB profile setting

Select versions data check box and select versions for comparison by multiple

selection

Continue with Execute
