Astronomical Telescopes for
Sky Observationat National Parks of Forest Department
Bought and Assembled Two Astronomical Telescopes for Department of Forest, which are, Installed at K.B.R. National Park, Jubilee Hills and MrigvaniNational Park, Chilkur by Symbiosis Children’s Edutainment a Partner organization. For which Technical Guidance was provided by the Planetary Society.
Forest Department conducts Day or Night Nature Camps creating awareness about Environment Protection. Under these Camps the visiting students are provided with information about wild life along with film show and ‘nature trek’ at the national parks. A Scientific Demonstration of various species of live snakes is also given in ‘snake show’ by Friends of Snake Society creating awareness about Snakes, its role in ecological balance and its Protection.
With installation of the Astronomical Telescopes, now students are having life time opportunity to witness Planets in the Night Sky during ‘Night Nature Camps’. These telescopes are completely owned by the Forest Department now. Hence, the participating school’s or group of individuals have to make a Special Request for Sky Observation in the office of Divisional Forest Officer in K.B.R.National Park, Jubilee Hills.

we decided to
train teachers
first. And
collaboration
with Bal
Bhavan helped
us greatly.
After the training, teachers were asked to nominate the Studentsrepresenting their school according to requirements of the contest.

students.

First Robotic Rover Camp
First Robotic camp to create awareness regarding science and technology with the help of Batchu Foundation, USA. Who Donated a Robotic Croco sour which in turn was modified by a team led by Vignan Pattamatta into a ‘MARS EXPLORATION ROVER’ to work in a Simulated Mars Environment under guidance and supervision of Mrs.Shanti vardhini and N.Sri Raghunandan Kumar, General Secretary, Planetary Society.. Which was created for using the said robotic rover on real life Mar Surface Model.
A Special Function was held at Indira Priyadarshini marking the success of this Mission where Education Minister M.Venkateshwar Rao along with Mr.I.V.Subba Rao, Education Secretary, Man Mohan Singh Education Commissioner were the Guests, presided over by
Sri Srimannarayana, former Joint Director of Directorate of Secondary Education and Director of Bal Bhavan.

MARS WATCH FESTIVAL 2003 - 04
Mars was at its Closest Approach to earth on 27th August, 2003. Society organised“Mars Watch Festival” with series of observations and awareness sessions.

Here we like to specially thank “Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan High School” who have implemented our Teaching Aid Project where by the said school was provided a “Astronomical Telescope Free” for observing mars transit with operational knowledge of the telescope which was taught to them. Enabling them to operate and use the said telescope for observing mars transit and witnessing many such magnificent celestial events on there own in future, while observing other planets which appear at different times of the year through our guidance.

members of Jawahar Bal Bhavan and
Planetary Society. They are selected on the
basis of certification by School follow
prescribe procedure. Later they are trained
accordingly and would be responsible for
carrying forward the message of mission.
