Psicle
Psicle provides a robust data framework and analytics environment in which subject matter experts can build, interrogate and report on their mathematical and business models
The environment allows users to build structured and auditable models, to investigate results and analyse the implications of decisions. Results of complex analyses are delivered to the business in an engaging and repeatable manner.
Structured business modelling environment
Psicle is an infrastructure framework, where customised data objects and libraries are available to perform highly specialised modelling tasks. Data is passed from one library to the next to build, explore and report on a business model.
PSICLE INTERFACE
• Psicle has an intuitive graphical user interface that shows the flow of data between objects, simplifying the process of constructing data models or running complex financial and mathematical models.
• Each object in the object diagram below represents a library performing a specific task, such as importing or enhancing data, running a mathematical model or reporting on the results of an analysis.
PSICLE FRAMEWORK
• The framework offers a multi-user, multi-window environment for importing data from a variety of sources and bringing these together into a structured and auditable project.
• Models are built using a series of objects. Source data objects can read in data from Excel or other Databases.
• Enhanced Data Objects help carry out static calculations, joins data sources, create new data fields and produce summaries.
• Maths Data Objects perform very specific and complicated mathematical tasks. Our current suite of MDO’s include a Stochastic Generator, a Correlator, an ESG, a Curve Fitter, Simulation Explorer, an Optimiser and a Reserver.
FEATURES
• Psicle provides an intuitive data enrichment engine which enables merging multiple data sources, filtering or classifying on data characteristics, data banding, adding new fields (for example weighted averaging or ranking) or producing data summaries.
DATA ENRICHMENT ENGINE
• Project Build: The intuitive and user customisable interface makes it easy for users to add new data objects to a project or to perform data manipulations on existing data sets and model output.
• Audit Capabilities: With the graphical user layout it is easy for an independent party to follow the data flows and calculations. Every object contains information about when the object was last calculated and by whom. It also highlights if a calculation becomes outdated if any of the data that it depends on changes. In the diagram (right) it shows outdated data objects in ‘Grey’ (this is customisable by the user).
• Analysis of Change: Multiple versions of the same project structure can be created and populated with refreshed data, which enables an analysis of change between all the components in the model.
• User Access: Can be controlled, such that editor users are able to edit data models, where viewer users can view model output such as customised graphical reports within the Psicle interface.
