PSLE

Thud, thud, thud. My heart pounded as today was the first day of the written PSLE papers. as I entered the teaching lab, the room used for my PSLE, I noticed that my fellow classmates were shivering with fear, they looked even more worried than someone jumping off a cliff!

When I entered the teaching lab we were given some time to do some breathing exercises, people were relieved as they began to use the breathing exercise to calm themselves some people even forgot they were going to take PSLE!

A teacher came into the lab and started giving out the papers to each and every one of the candidates very swiftly and she quickly said “candidates, you may start” we quickly flipped over the page and found out that, it was not that difficult at all!

When we finished the paper, everyone was shouting out “so easy!” we learnt that what everyone says can either be correct or wrong and that we shouldn’t judge things too quickly.

Perseverance

When I was looking backed at my teenage years, it reminds me of a best experience 19 years ago.

20 years ago……. As I wanted to experience what does the top of Mount Everest feels like As my 18 birthday came, I ask my parents for approved before I go my parents agreed. After mounts of signing documents and payment. Finally, a called arrived. It was a wealthy man who wants to sponsors me to climb Mount Everest, as I have some finance problem, my heart was pounding fast as I am super excited

Finally, the day has come, my parents brought me to Changi airport. When I reached to

the departure is, and wave my parents goodbye.

Finally, about five hours of flight finally reached to the destination. I started walking upwards the mountain as the mountain was slippery and stip. Although climbing the mountain was tiring and tedious, but I put in my all just to reach the destination that I wanted.

After much of my blood sweat and tears, I had finally reached the peak of the mountain, not only I can see a beautiful scenery and also felt proud of myself.

After all I could share with my families now and also ever month, my family and I will climb Bukit Timah hill that I really enjoy.

Bullying

“Ring!” The recess bell awoke many children that were sleeping in class. They rushed in a beeline to buy food. Justin, however, was not doing so good. He had detention after school for arriving late today.

As he walked past the boys’ toilet, he heard a commotion in the toilet. He peeped through the door only to see the bully Daniel and his victim. “Give me your money!” yelled Daniel. Justin thought to himself. “Wow… no wonder he has no friends.” Daniel then punched the Primary 1 boy’s face. His nose bled and he started to wail like a baby due the unbearable pain. Upon seeing that, Justin thought to himself, “Should I tip off the school staff? Or should I take things into my own hands? But the boy…he looks helpless…” Justin decided to stomp into the toilet and confront the bully and he did just that. “Hey! Pick on someone your own size!” Daniel heard Justin’s voice and stopped touching the boy.

“Should you be my size?” He cackled and asked Justin. Justin then signalled to the boy to run out of the toilet and tell a faculty member when Daniel was distracted. The boy then ran off in fear. It was only the two boys in the toilet. Justin broke out in cold sweat and gulped down his saliva. As Daniel got closer to him every second, he feared that he will be undersized and will be injured.

Just as Daniel wanted to punch Justin, the discipline master and some teachers barged in the toilet without warning and stopped Daniel from harming yet another victim. He was then escorted to the general office and was given a warning letter. Just then, the police appeared. Daniel recognised him immediately; it was Sergeant Lim and his assistant, Corporal Tan. They flashed a warrant and told Daniel, “you are involved in 10 cases of cyberbullying and 1 case of vandalism. You will be suspended from school for 3 weeks.”

Meanwhile, Justin and the boy were being treated at the sick bay. The next day, Justin was awarded with a plaque for stopping the bully and detention was cancelled. Daniel regretted the decision of bullying as he knew the consequences. He learned to treat everyone with respect and decency.

STOP Bullying

‘Ring…’ The school bell ring. Big bully Don has green eyes like poisonous snakes and hair as spiky as death spikes. H stormed down the stairs like a dinosaur. “Get out of my way, fools!” he shouted to everybody in his way like a demotic slender man. Don made his way to the canteen and went to order his lunch at the burger stall. After he paid his food, he had no more money lest in his wallet. He walked off to find an empty sit. He wolfed down his food like a hungry bear. After that he placed his plate in the basket.

As he was walking to the soccer field, he saw the new Young Scientist magazine on sale for $5. He was so fond of the magazine, he wanted it so desperately, but he had no money left. He felt so gloomy, as if the dark clouds got darker.

Just then he saw Timid-Timothy, Don wiped off his tears and smirked at him, he knew what to do. He ran to Timothy and covered his face with his humongous dirty hands and carries him to the restroom. He then yelled to Timothy “Give me your money or I will punch you!” The pitiful boy shivered in fear, beady tears rolled down his rosy cheeks. “I-I still have some money but it is for my lunch.” The poor boy mumbled. With all of Don’s strength, he clinched his fist and punch him in the nose, he punched so hard that crimson red blood leaked down like a broken tap. “I do not care at all, I only want the money right NOW and make it QUICK!” he bellowed. The hopeless victim slowly took out his wallet and handed him the money.

Just then he saw the head master entered the restroom. The big bully’s jaw dropped a hundred miles down to the ground. He stood there, absolutely traumatised. “Ahem!” The head master cleared his throat, “So this is where all the horrible noises came from?” Soon, hot steam literally burst out of his ears like a boiling kettle.

Persevere

One breezy cold morning I get I my bags ready and head to school as it is the start of my examination I was Nervous that I can’t succeed on passing my math as it was too difficult for me. Without further, I take a ride from bus to school (haven’t persevere yet.)

After Reaching the school, I was enthusiastic and brave to answer a few question I skip through every pages that is hard enough for me to do but nevertheless, I set the best result I could ever achieved in

Unfortunately, I keep on failing I tried hard focusing paying close attention on my teacher every hard question I could done severe times passing with flying colours makes me a proud being student on my judgement.

A lost dog

One sunny day I was at a park I was playing soccer after the soccer match I was very tired I was walking back home I saw a do .It look sad I went to the dog I bring the dog back home.

The next day I saw a picture of a lost dog I went back home and take the dog to the police station I told that this dog was the dog that I found The police take the dog with them suddenly the owner of the dog came to the police station .

The owner was about to ask the police that if they saw the lost dog the owner saw the dog and ran to the dog and hug the dog the owner thank me so much that he want to pay me money I told him don’t need to pay me money. The owner bring the dog back home .

Secret

“Why did you do it?” the teacher asked me strictly. My face was as red as a tomato. I knew my best friend told on me. This is how it all happened.

It was a Sunday. I was so bored that I decided to go to the park. While I was walking to the park, I saw my classmate, Sarah, vandalising a wall. “Hey!” I shouted. “Keep quiet, help me, I’ll pay you,” she whispered to me. So I decided to help.

“This is fun I love doing this with a friend!” She exclaimed and walked away. The next day of school, my heart was beating really fast. My palms were sweating. I was so nervous so I decided to tell my best friend what I did. I told her and she was shocked. I told her to keep it a secret. She promised me to keep it a secret.

After a few days, nothing really happened until a teacher called me outside. My palms were starting to sweat again and so was I. “Why did you vandalise the wall at the park?” The teacher asked me. My face was as red as a tomato. I knew my best friend had told on me. I decided to face the music of the teacher. After all the scolding, I did not even talk to my best friend when she tried to convince me that she was just trying to help me. I cannot believe that my best friend told on me. Every day, from now on, I will never vandalise the wall or anything ever again.

An Unfortunate Encounter

It was a cloudy day today, it is my aunt wedding today. We went to the jewellery store to buy my aunts wedding ring.

We were at the counter asking the casher how much do we have to pay for the wedding ring.my aunt took out her purse. We saw a suspicious man staring at the purse. He did not even blink for a second.

We collected the wedding ring and walked away. The man was following us from behind and again staring at the ring. The man took out a knife and knife and I was feeling very scared.

In the meantime, we heard sirens. The man tried to escape but the police surrounded the sidewalk. He drops his knife and got arrested.

A Tour

On December 1, my mom brought my whole family and I to China. We went there in celebration of my older brother’s celebration of passing his PSLE. When we woke up 2am in the morning I was so excited to get out of the house and get into the travelling van. When I came down, I saw my father wrapping the luggage’s. When the travelling van was here, my family and I boarded it and it headed to the airport and went to the flight counter.

My family and I waited until 5am to enter the departure area we went to McDonald’s to eat our breakfast. Then we went to wait for the plane, when the plane came at 7am. We boarded it. When the plane touched down at 10am, we came down the plane. My grandfather’s friend fetched us from the airport and drove us to my grandfather’s house that he built. During our tour my grandmother gave us $100 each then she said go buy whatever you want but spend wisely, then she asked her sister to bring us around to shop and tour around the neighbourhood. Then we arrived at a shop that was old but nice. I was hesitant to buy anything, but then I looked around more and went outside, I asked my brother’s decision whether I should buy it or not. I then gave up on hesitating then I bought it after that I went back to the house. After 3 days, we went to a hotel then we went to a beach that has a 2 seater tramp. We had to pay $50 each person in 1 ride. After that we went to an KFC to eat our lunch.

A train breakdown

It was 6.45am in the morning; I am very late to school. I take my uniform and wear it. run towards to bus. After five minute, I rush to the MRT station and wait for the train. A while later, my train arrived. I go in the train.

It was very crowd and very quiz. Suddenly the train stop. Announcement out “please be calm down and wait for the train to be working” and we all were hot and thirsty. food delivery come to the train to give everybody a drink and a food.

After forty- five minute, the train had worked and everybody was relieved and very happy. I looked at my watch and it was 7.51am. Just five stop to go. I called my mother that I am late and they understand me, I was very calm that my mother understood me a lot. The train stopped.

I came to school very late. My principal was stared at me and he said it is okay to come to school if it has a train breakdown. My teacher were happy that I came to school.

A GOOD DEED

IT was a bright and sunny morning, as I wake up and start my daily routine every morning .I had planned what I have to do later. I have to take the train at Punggol.

WHEN I reached down at my house bus stop, I saw many people waiting for bus. After 15 min of waiting, the bus finally came and a lot of people are rushing to board the bus, the bus was packed like sardines’, it is so packed that we have to squeeze in to board the bus. When we reached the train station, there were many and some were looking impatiently for the bus to arrive

Suddenly , I saw a middle aged women using clutches walking towards the platform waiting for the train ,upon seeing that , my first thought was ; there should be someone giving her the priory seat to her . so I walked behind the middle aged women to make sure somebody give out the seat to her. To my surprised there was a young boy rushing to the priory seat. So I confronted the young boy please give out your seat to the middle age women the young boy replay me coldly that he would not give out the seat to anyone .just at that moment a strong built man come forward to stop the young boy from doing the inconsiderate act . the strong built pulled the young boy up of the seat.

At this moment, everyone was filming us and posting it on social media, seeing that, the boy was ashamed that he kept his head down. when I got to my Aunts house, my aunt praised me for doing the right thing. for that my aunt bought me an ice cream for an reward.

Secret The moment I entered the classroom I heard some people talking. As I walked to the

front of my class I saw my two best friends seating together. Having to seat some were else. Then I saw emty seat that was just perfect for me. I place my bag down and sat on my perfect seat. The person seating next to was also my friend, Aiko, she was also the smartest in my class.

I having a strong feeling telling me to share it to Aiko but what if she tells to the whole class, I will be embarrass if she making fun of me but if I lied to her she would be upset, I had no choice but to tell her. Maybe I should keep quiet until after school then I tell her. A few hour latter I softly vomited out all my secrets and looking from her face expression.

Helping a neighbour

Mum did you hear Aunty sandy cat meowing? jack asked. We smell coffees

coming from Aunty sandy house and they were curious why didn’t she collect the

newspapers?

They took a closer look through aunty sandy, window ‘we saw that she had

collapsed on the floor we were shocked and worried why did aunty sandy collapsed?

We spotted biscuit and water on the floor near her

Jack call the ambulance and the police quickly mom instructed like a bullet jack

immediately called 999 When the cops and ambulance arrived, they quickly used

their bolt cutter to cut the lock .

As fast as he could the ambulance sent aunty sandy to the hospital Jack and his

mom were glad that the hospital Jack and his mom were glad that aunty sandy was

safe and sound at the hospital .they were relieved the doctor told them that aunty

sandy was recovering well

The fly

It was recess time. tom had looked forward about recess. It would be a break from class and all the practice paper. His stomach growled like a hungry tiger.

When tom reached the canteen, He rushed the stall and bought his food. After buying his food, tom spotted his friend, bob, and said, ‘’Hi bob may. I sit down? bob nodded and smiled while bob was reading, tom sat down to have his bowl of soup soon, the two boys noticed an insect flying in front of them.

Immediately, bob tried to wave off the insect with his hand it did not work. Without a second thought, bob grabbed his book and tried again. Unfortunately, he hit tom’s bowl of soup accidentally. The soup spilled all over the table and even on tom’s shirts bob was shocked, He stood still like a statue. Tom cried’ ‘’ Why must you do that. There was a fly flying around your food. That’s what I have use my book to wave off the fly.

Tom said’’ I will buy you another bowl of soup and now I will go to the office to get another set of school uniform for you. After tom changed into a clean set of uniform clothes Bob replied said, fine I will forgive you tom thanks bob for forgiven me then bob said next time tell me before you whack the fly

A Train Breakdown

On december13, my mom and I were taking a train to go to Changi airport to take a flight but half way there was a train breakdown near to Changi airport but the train has damage the front break.

So the train have to stop at the middle of the track all the passenger on the train were in shock and some were so scared that they fainted because they were scared that the train is going to collapsed than my mom shouted “everybody keep calm” than they one passenger said “how are we supposed to keep calm”.

Than all a sudden there was an announcement and the announcement said “ everybody stay calm the train manager is going to fix the front break so just stay calm” everybody was so relieve all a sudden the train started moving and everybody got a ride safely and my mom and I reach the airport safely and took our flight.

A Day Out

On the September holiday, my grandfather came from japan to visit me last week .my parents were able to take leave from work, we were at home packing our things for the beach, but suddenly, my grandfather brushed aside my idea and he said that we could eat at the fast food instead. We were used to my grandfather impromptu suggestions so we did not bat an eye lid.

When we arrived at the beach, the beautiful sight of fluffy white clouds and crystal clear water greeted us as we step into the soft sand along the beach, not long after, my grandfather persuaded me to play Frisbee with him while my parents were taking a relaxing walk along the seashore, I quickly agreed and I was goaded into running and leaping for he Frisbee as my grandfather was great at playing it,

After lunch, I decided to look for seashells, I wanted to find seashells to make collection for my grandfather and my grandmother. After I collect the sea shells, I looked around for my grandfather and I thought he was too tried to walked. But to my surprised, I was amazed by his boundless energy as he was in his eighty-six years old but still very energetic as a young man. My grandfather was swimming happily in the sea and I never lost my sight of him as his trunks were conspicuous in the crystal clear water.

No sooner, the outing came to an end. My parents, grandfather and I went home, I was very happy and I also showed my sea shells to them.

Dreams Come True

Jennie was at the age of 5 when she had an obsession with cafes. She also wanted to open one in the future, but unfortunately she lives in a poor family.

Although they were poor, Jennie still would not neglect on her dream. Jennie’s dad would always return home from work with white papers since Jennie loves to design her dream café. Every designs that were her favourites will be pasted on her bedroom’s wall.

Years have passed, Jennie was then at the age of 18. She decided to work in a café to experience what it’s like to work and to be in a café and also to earn money for her dream café. Jennie has save up all the money she receives and earn. Her parents also helped her by sacrificing their time on working the whole day.

Years have passed, Jennie is now 21 years old. Family’s hard work has been paid off. Jennie now had enough money to open her dream café.

Months has passed and Jennie’s dream café has been built, decorated and ready she published her cafe afterwards. After that day, Jennie’s café has been a blown up with popularity.

A secret

It was dark outside. Only the moon was reflecting my shadow. I packed in a mask a chain cutter into my bag. I sneaked out to a nearby bicycle store. The street was silent and not a soul was around. It felt like as if I am the last person on earth.

After ten minutes of walking, I finally reached behind the store. I put on my mask and did something I never thought I would do. I stole a bicycle along with other gears. As I quietly leave the store. Someone saw me. The person followed me home. Without thinking of any harm I took off my mask. When I reach to the void deck of my block. The person who followed me tapped my shoulder.

I jumped in surprised. It was my friend, Tom. I sighed in relief. I asked Tom what he was doing there. “ I was heading home when I saw you.” Tom said. “I went for a cycle” I said nervously. “Kim, why do you need a mask to cycle?” tom ask suspiciously. I knew there was no way of hiding the truth from Tom. I told him the truth and beg him not to tell anyone. He agreed not to reveal my secret but he also tell me he wants something from me. I was not surprised so I asked him what he wanted in return. What he wanted made me hesitate. I knew I could not give him what he wanted. The reason I stole all this stuff was because I wanted to sell them for money to pay my overdue bills. I know for a fact that my secret would be out if I did not agree. So I agreed. For the next 5 days, I tried my best to earn money. I sold the bicycle and gears while finding ways to earn more money. After I had collected all the money he wanted leaving me a quarter of the original among of money. I realised that I had wasted all my time just to steal those items. In the end I still do not have enough money to pay my overdue bills as I had to pay Tom.

My best friend in primary school

This story is about my primary school best friend. It all begin on a scary and exiting day .it is my first day in this school I was pretty nervous that day as I don’t know any of the people in this school I first came sitting down on a chair in the class and a student from the same class me was staring at me I was on dilemma on what’s going on I thought I did something wrong I felt a little anxious and worried I wonder what the happen I just ignore it and continue with my day.

As the bell rang the same guy gave me a scary glance as because I was sitting on chair while everyone was queuing up outside the classroom he went to me and told me that everyone is queuing up for recess. He also asked me whether I want to go recces I smile with ashamed in my heart I stand and n queue up with others. I thank him soon after then we eat, play together we soon find out more about each other and find out each other fear and talent. I find out his name and more about his family.

A week pass we have been doing the same thing over and over again we become closer but one day my biggest secret has been expose I lost a lot of friend but at my shock the guy that has been spending time with me did not leave me he was still my friend after all this year we suffer together and happy together we spent our whole primary school together and this year is our last year.

I am moving house next year and I am moving school so we cannot so we literally cannot meet or contact each other we spend the last year by going out and do all the fun thing together I sad but cannot do anything every time I hang out with him I felt like bursting in tears but I cannot cry in front of him or else he will end up being sad also so I keep it in side of me.

Days week and moth has pass it has been a year we been through things together I am finally leaving him we don’t really burst in tears but we know we were sad as we met each other the last time on result taking day. We don’t meet each other anymore until now I wonder what he is doing.

Bully composition

It was a good afternoon at school recess, it was everyone favourite time at school. Everybody were playing, eating and talking.

But sometimes on recess that keeps everybody a fear of, and his is Darry the big bully, ha always find people which short like a boy which is Jack his is a good person and kind-hearted but he gets bullied every day. The bully has angry eyes, nasty eye brown and handsome.

On that time when I want to the boy’s bathroom I heard a yelped!!! So I run to the toilet and saw Darry, when I saw him I was angry like a tiger so I ran to get help, as I was running I thought for a second, what if I tell Darrian the fierce teacher, Darry will surely beat up to death, so I ran to the General office to report Darry the bully.

I told everything that I saw but they said I cannot because there is no evidence, when I get out of the General office, I saw the bully. Greeting Lorry the new principal, I was shock till my face turn pale to see that.

On the next day I had to stop this bully habit so on recess I followed him to the toilet and saw the same boy which is jack in the toilet so I thought this is the best chance to take in evidence, I took out my phone and started recording after it end, I ran as quick as could till me legs turned into jelly and went to the General office shown my phone the recording of Darry bullying jack, then Lorry the new principal shows up, I quickly told her and shown the recording to her. After than she came out and show Darry greeting, she shouted with anger like a volcano erupting till Darry cried of for mercy to never bully ever again.

Hobby

On a bright and sunny morning, the sun was shining like a golden bar. My father and I went to the sports hub and went to the Kallang mall near the hub. We saw a rock climbing wall, I was very excited and asked my father whether I could try climbing the wall.

When I started to do rock climbing, I had a phobia of height, but my father cheered me on. I know how to do rock climbing and does days I don’t climb I would train my back muscles.

Now I am starting to do rock climbing on holidays and even on my birth day. I always enjoy rock climbing because it was fun and I could do it together with my friends, family and other friends.

After climbing for a few years I started joining the Singapore rock climbing team as I started to have a passion for it.

Bullying

It was recess time. I just finished eating and I went to sit at the canteen table waiting for the bell to ring to go to the hall. As I was about to sit, one big size person came and pushed me down to the floor.

“Who are you?” He asked. Then he starts to call me names. I knew I will get bullied in the school because I was the only one small boy. He took my bag. “What is in here?” He asked. Then he starts to throw all my stuff to the floor.

I have to tell him to stop it. He was about to hit me with the bag and Mr Welmen, the teacher came and stop the bully. He asked me whether I am okay. “Why are you doing this? If other people do this to you how would you feel? Now clean everything up and give it to him right now!” Mr Welmen said in a very aggressive way.

Mr Welmen asked the bully to apologize. The bell rang. Mr Welmen brought the bully to the office.

Bullying

It was a sunny day white fluffy cloud drifted across the clear blue sky. I wake up early

in the morning and went to school. “ring” the school bell rang; it was recess time our

teacher Mrs Lim released us from class to go for recces.

I was walking to the canteen to buy some food to eat, while I was eating with my

friends, suddenly I smell something awful from the corner. I believe someone has

vomited in the canteen, I saw an incident happening at the corner. The bully was

asking money from a p1 boy refuse to give the money. So the bully punch the p1 boy

with his fist. From far away, I saw the p1 boy who is scrawny frame. Due to his size,

he was vomited his food while punching by the bully. The pain was so excretive that

the boy cry pitifully. However, the boy did not give up, no matter how the bully gave

up, no matter how the bully did to him, insisted not to give his money. Again the bully

punched his face very hard, until the nose and mouth was bleeding. The bully

threatens him fiercely said “if you don’t give me your money I will let your life

mischief.

A Secret

“Matilda likes Anthony, Matilda likes Anthony…” chanted my classmates as I

walked into the classroom. Oh crap! They knew! But how? I did not tell anyone.

Except…

“Victoria!” I screamed as if I wanted everyone to be deaf. As for Victoria, was

stunned as I screamed.

“HOW DARE YOU TELL EVERYONE!” I hollered, snatching the first thing I could

lay my hands on-a ruler-as I marched towards Victoria. Grabbing her by her hair, I

pinned her against the wall. I raised the plastic ruler to Victoria’s throat and pressed

it against her bare neck.

“YOU ARE GONING TO PAY FOR TELLING!” I shrieked. But when I saw my own

reflection in Victoria’s watery eyes, I cannot bare to hurt her. “Matilda?” called out by

a familiar voice, I was frozen to the spot, I knew that voice. “What is going on here?

Why is everyone saying that you like me?” all colours drained from my cheeks as he

said that. Anthony suddenly saw what I had done, he walked towards me, shoved

me aside and held Victoria’s shoulders firmly in his large hands. Looking as if he had

saw some kind of monster, he said frostily, “Do not ever come near me or Victoria

again.”

“REJIECTED!!!” hollered the entire class.

My heart fell as I saw the concern for Victoria in Anthony’s eyes as he asked

worriedly to Amanda if she was injured. My last ray of hope faded away as I

absorbed what I was seeing. My heart felt like it had fall to the ground, shattering into

thousands and thousands of pieces. I slipped out of the classroom and hid in a

bathroom stall. Hot tears streamed down my face as I thought about how this

began…

“Matilda, are you not telling me something?” asked Victoria as she leaned over

my table, her face inch form mine.

“Uh, well, I like Anthony, but I am not sure how to say hi.” I responded with my

cheeks getting red as a cherry as I snapped out of the level’s biggest gossiper.

“Your secret is perfectly safe with me,” giggled Victoria as she twirled and

bounced away.

AFTER I had bought my things, I when home and the day was so hot and it feels like I am melting down.

AFTER I went home I put the stuff on the table and look outside the window and I saw my neighbour carrying a lot of stuff in her hands. So I decided to help her out after I help her she said that I was very considerate and I was very proud of myself and my mother too.
