The Plan

The Start Point

On a sunny yet freezing day we set out on our psycho-geographical project. Many people were dressed for the winter season. Spirits seemed low around the area. Tiresome eyes gazed upon us as we scouted the streets of Leicester. There was a feeling of fatigue with everyone wanting to be home for Christmas. We feel that the destinations we explored mirrored this feeling of winter blues, which will be identified throughout the pictures within the presentation.

Western Boulevard

Walking away from Bede Park we found ourselves in a newly developed area that gave a sense of cleanliness. This was topped by further construction that was going on metres away which shows drastic changes to the urban landscape.

Upperton Road

Walnut Street

Although the buildings were clearly well structured and strong, the general age of the street put a dampener on our moods. Even with the exotic colours blasting from Fuxion Fresh, we still felt low and vulnerable.
