The program was partnership between BPI and Batang health department (Tulis and

Kandeman health center). There were six conducted programs on this occasion:

• Free medical services for general and basic

community health problem

• Infant medical check up

• Senior citizen medical check up

• Pregnancy health check up

• Birth control service

for 7 villages which affected by CFPP construction

power plant (12 villages: Karangasem Utara, Klildang Lor, Klidang wetan, Depok,

Ujung Negoro, Ponowareng, Karanggeneng, Kedungsegog, Kenconorejo, Sengon,

Kuripan, and Kedawung

SCOPE OF WORK

Activity in stage I is intended to get an overview of the characteristics of the Sample

villages including the following aspects:

- Socio-economic characteristics of costal communities

- Coastal and marine potential resource

- The power of community organizations and community institutions

- Power of local wisdom in the conservation of coastal and marine resources in

Batang coastal area

OUTPUT

- Availability of baseline information about the socieconomic characteristics of coastal communities

- Identification of the potential of coastal and marine resources

- Identification of community social capital in coastal and marine Batang

- Identification the existence of community organizations and institutions to support their participation in
