Srinagar, Aug 2: Assert-ing that no talks would bear fruit without the active par-ticipation of people of Kash-mir, Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Friday said the amalgam would write letters to Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan urging them to start a meaningful and result-oriented dialogue process for resolving the Kashmir issue. He said Hur-riyat leadership was ready to be part of ‘result-oriented’
parleys on Kashmir. He also said that New
Delhi should take cue from dialogue between United States and Taliban, Palestine
and Israel which has made it clear that “measures to crush movements through force don’t last.”

Srinagar, Aug 2: The Hur-riyat Conference (G) chair-man Syed Ali Geelani on Friday termed the govern-ment's move to regularize 20 unauthorized colonies in Jammu housing non-state subjects as a ‘sinister plan’ to change the demography of the state.
"The government's move to regularise 20 unauthor-ised colonies in Jammu province is a sinister plan. The government of India is working on a long-term plan to change the demography of the state and it wants to settle the non-state subjects so that Muslims are made a minority in the region," Gee-lani said in a statement here.
Geelani accused all the
mainstream political par-ties in the state of "silently taking dictations from New Delhi" and being a party to anti-Kashmiri plans.
"Though National Con-ference, Peoples Democratic Party, State Congress and others are taking silent dic-tation from New Delhi, Con-gress minister (for Housing) Raman Bhalla has been entrusted with a special task in this regard and he
