M y brethren, What can I say, WOW; what a start of the

year! A roller coaster of excite-ment and hitting the bricks full throttle. I hope that all of you are as excited as I am to contin-ue moving forward as we grow at Punta Gorda #115. First things first; Thank you for be-stowing upon me the honor of serving you as the Worshipful Master, the Brethren of Punta Gorda 115 have worked very hard with face lift and so many needed repairs. I hope and cross my fingers that we will not have these expenses this ensuing year. We have so much work to do and many petitions and Brothers in the process of the three degrees. First congratula-tions goes out to Brother Roger

McCallum as he gave back the Master Mason catechism flaw-lessly. That being said, we will have an apron presentation very soon. Next on the congratulato-ry progress goes out to brothers David Holloway and Christo-pher Williamson for making it through the master mason de-gree and we look forward to them giving back their cate-chism soon to follow. A huge thank you to our brother SW Sean Williamson for facilitating all the contacts and arraign-ments necessary for the master mason degree for said Brothers. Sean, I thank you for making the lodge look very honorable by taking the wheel and raising the sails for our first degree of 2019; Awesome job Broth-er! This is exciting as we will also have two bible presenta-tions this month as well. All the proper administrative duties are

being completed on time and Grand Lodge will be pleased, which by the way is good for Punta Gorda #115, but this comes with a great thank you to our secretary Brother Ron George and much assistance from Brother PM Jonas Seda. On February 16, 2018 we will be having our Blue Slipper Event at the Punta Gorda Lodge. Tickets are $35.00 per person; please seek out any of the officers for your tickets. This event is to honor our wives for all the sacrifices they make for all the time we are away from home doing masonic du-ties and travel. The meaning of the Blue Slipper will be thor-oughly explained at the time of the event. The cutoff date will be the 9th of February as we need to order food; there will no tickets sold at the door, so

us. Hope to see many of our

Brothers in attendance.

From the West funeral to our dear departed Brother Jerry Gordon his place-able presence will be sorely missed. My prayers of healing go out to his family and friends. The funeral was well attended by the Brothers of our Lodge which shows how much he was loved. Lastly, I leave you with a quote for thought by one of my favor-ite masonic writers W.I. Willmhurst on our “ROYAL ART" (masonry) proclaims the fact that there exists a higher and more secret path of life than that which we normally tread, and that when the outer world and its pursuits and re-

wards lose their attractiveness for us and proves insufficient to our deeper needs, as sooner or later they will, we are compelled to turn back upon ourselves, to seek and knock at the door of the world with in; and it is upon this inner world, and the path to and through it, that masonry promises light, charts the way and indi-cates the qualifications and con-ditions of progress." Fraternally yours, Senior Warden Sean Williamson

M y Brothers, I would like to begin by telling

you what an honor it was to have raised my cousin Chris Williamson to the sublime degree of Master Mason Janu-ary 26th. Please congratulate him and Brother David Hol-loway on earning that privilege, they put in a lot of work. Also, I would like to congratulate our Brother Senior Stewart Roger McCallum on an excellent catechism return, he earned his white apron. On that subject our lodge has had the somber duty of providing a masonic

G reetings Brothers, Hope those of you who made it to Florida before

the deep freeze set in up north are doing o.k. and are planning on making a few meetings at the Lodge. For those of you who are still up north, stay warm and don't take any unnecessary chanc-es when you do have to go outside. Brothers, I hate to keep harping on the subject of dues, but it seems that it seems that it is necessary on occasions. I mailed out the due’s notices back in De-cember for 2019, to date I have received maybe one fourth of the notices re-turned with a check for pay-ment of dues. At this rate I'll still be getting dues no-tice returns up into Novem-

ber. Like I've said before, this should not be a year-round job. I should receive everyone's dues payment by March. On another note, as you may know when you pay your dues you should receive a plastic dues card. If you have yet to receive yours, I'll have an E-Mail address for you next month so you can contact this Brother for your card. Or you can call me at: H: 941-625-8364 C:941-286-2646 With that said, I hope all is well with you' Fraternally Secretary Ron George

G reetings my Brothers, it’s hard to believe that February is

upon us. The lodge has been a very busy place, we practiced every Monday and performed a “Master Ma-son” degree on the 26th and now have two freshly minted Master Masons, congratulations Chris and David. We thank God that all our “Snowbird Brothers” made it safely to Florida and they are now roosting in the South at our regular meetings, welcome back. We have started practice on our “Blue Slipper” event, which is on the 16th of February, Brothers if

you only take your wife, mother, sister, daughter or significant other to one event this year make it this one she will be very grateful. We still have a lot of work to accomplish as we have candi-dates ready for EA degrees and will soon have several brothers ready for their FC degree. Last, but not least congratula-tions to Roger McCallum who has given back his Master Masons cate-chism. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all victims of gun vio-lence especially to our neighbors in Sebring. David Naples Chaplin

please get them before-hand. I will do one more reminder at the next meet-ing. Now at this time, I would like to thank Broth-er Ernie Rose PM for organizing the funeral services for Brother W. David Harris Jr. on Thurs-day January 31 at Char-lotte Memorial Gardens & Funeral home. Brother Dave Naples, our Chaplin did a beautiful arraign-ment of prayers for the family and the service with many Brothers in attendance. For this next segment Brothers, it comes from me with a heavy heart that we have lost our brother Jerry Gor-don at approximately 4:45 p.m. January 31, 2019 after a long battle with his illness. Our prayers go out to the Gordon family dur-

ing these times of tribula-tion. Fraternally, David Summers Worshipful Master
