ENROLLMENT GOALS
• Gradually increase total undergraduates to 31,000+
• 2017 Freshman Beginner class (summer + fall) of 7,100+
• Increase transfers as possible
• Maintain Indiana residents at over 50%
• Maintain or enhance academic profile, including rigorous HS curriculum
• Maintain those units that do not want to grow – gradually grow those that
wish to do so
• Enhance diversity broadly defined

EXPECTATIONS FOR SUMMER AND FALL 2017
• About 200 conditional Summer Start students
• Between 75-125 non-conditional
(applied directly to summer or switched from fall to summer)
• Total new beginner class difficult to predict at present due to lagging
international yield – will probably be on the high side, however
• Anticipated softer Indiana resident yield – but coming in strong

• Working with the African Student Association to connect with admitted students in the region.
• Letter from President Daniels addressing students hesitation of studying in the United States
• Connecting students in mainland China with alumni in China
• International admissions travel meeting admitted students in: Oman, UAE, Qatar, India, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.
