mobile use. Comprehensive access to data and
visualisations could therefore mostly only take place
at stationary control and operating systems on-site.

With the atvise builder, you can use a powerful editor
for the development of your HMIs. It is the perfect
engineering tool for the visualisation of your plant
systems, components or devices.
The high-end design tool enables you to easily add
dynamic objects and graphics. You can animate any
desired object in a customised manner and you can
refer to a wide spectrum of display options. Colour
gradients or transparent look are also possible like
the display of dynamic and interactive graphics such
as i.e. on/off or movement.

Comprehensive libraries
Optional element libraries are provided for the fast and
simple creation of graphic surfaces. An extensive image
database with over 3,000 high-quality vector graphics,
facilitates the comfortable use of templates for almost
any industrial application.
In order to create consistent libraries, atvise operates
the integrated standard technologies of OPC UA. You
can easily produce your own libraries in which SPS
components are assigned to an object type (eventful data
exchange).
The instances are generated from this and from which
the graphics can be adopted by atvise builder.
In addition, other, sector-related libraries are in
the process of development. Thus, in the segment
environmental technology, the atvise Water library was
developed in cooperation with
“Aqua Automation” (an association of the industry
specialists VIDEC Phoenix, Danfoss and Endress &
Hauser). It provides a complete tailored solution from
the measuring instrument to the
SCADA levels and it reduces the planning time many
times over.

Powerful scripting
A powerful ECMA Script Engine is available with
the Serverside Scripting Option. This enables the
programming of logistical processes which take place
in the background on the SCADA server. Extensive
functions can be implemented by using JavaScript
such as i.e. the access to databases, timer functions
or sending emails. The ECMA Script Engine can be
used without programming skills and it is optionally
available.

Comprehensive connectivity
The atvise HMI/SCADA system is based on the
general standard OPC Unified Architecture (OPC UA)
and it thus enables a seamless integration in any
architecture and engineering environment.
Almost all functions of atvise HMI/SCADA are also
available for external tools via OPC UA. The easy
set-up takes place via the powerful atvise builder.
Seamless integration
Distance yourself from unnecessary components,
interfaces and efforts. The atvise technology can be
seamlessly integrated almost anywhere. Even the
smallest devices will deliver the images in “control
room quality” to live HMIs.
Any commercial web browser will suffice to use the
HMI/SCADA server as a client. This provides special
advantages if client installations are not possible on-
site of if they were connected with time-consuming
additional installations and maintenance works.

Fast implementation
atvise is the perfect engineering tool for all products
that are equipped with an atvise WebMI compatible
web server or that use versions of the atvise web HMI.
The basis for atvise WebMI or web HMI is a more
streamlined web server. All functions of this server
are determined in the strictly web-conform atvise
WebMI guidelines. Once it has been implemented
into your component, device or your software, atvise
technologies are suitable for any terminal device.
Therefore, your visualisations will be available
everywhere and for any product. For a particularly
quick and uncomplicated implementation, we can
offer you both the complete specifications as well as
a portable ANSI-C based SDK.
Integration + interfaces
Of course you can also use atvise with any
other OPC UA compatible tool.
OPC UA provides a variety of advantages such as
high performance, integrated security and platform
neutrality which facilitates the use under any
operating system. Thus, it ensures a comprehensive
connectivity in automated processes.

High failover
As the first purely web HMI/SCADA from version
3.0, atvise offers a seamless client redundancy as an
optional solution to guarantee a failover.
A complete data and application offset of two server
instances occurs via a hot standby redundancy which
synchronise as a redundant pair. The failover of
the system is then guaranteed if one of the server
components fails.
For the switchover when it is restarted, there is the
possibility of the Switch Over in accordance with
default state or manually provided or, however, the
failover. The switchover takes place at the failover if
an active server cannot be reached or if it displays a
bad vital status. Depending on the browser, a client
switchover to an active server is possible in this case
whereby interruption-free working is ensured for the
operator - unless a notification is required.
Guaranteed independence
atvise guarantees the compliance with official
guidelines and open web standards. This
ensures you maximum security and freedom
when developing your own HMIs and complete
independence from manufacture-specific special
formats. Everything that is allowed by the browser
can be used.
