Good News Stories

A male was arrested who was driving whilst disqualified on Pampisford Road earlier this month. He was also arrested for driving without insurance and the vehicle was confiscated. Another uninsured driver off our roads! A flat attracting Anti-Social behaviour in Partridge Knoll has had its locks

changed to prevent drawing any further inconvenience to other residents in the local area. It will be fully

boarded up later this week by the Council. Both Purley and Kenley policing teams paid another visit to the Purley Youth Project attached to the Purley United Reform Church to interact with the children and show them the car! We played table tennis and did some hoop shooting. It is important that the children in the area meet us and feel comfortable around the Police. After complaints of drug use late night patrols were conducted behind

the back of the shops on Russell Hill. Various managers of the shops were advised and asked to keep an eye out in future. All complaints of ASB will be looked at wherever it is. Another three Community Protection Notices were issued to various street drinkers. Since then business users have noticed a reduction in ASB in the town centre. With Halloween coming up at the end of October we would just like you all to be vigilant and remember not to knock on doors with ‘NO TRICK OR TREAT‘ signs, always make sure children go trick or treating with an adult and be careful not to frighten vulnerable people, especially the elderly.

Other Ways of Contacting Police

Another Operation Sceptre took place across the borough this month. A weapon sweep was conducted everyday for a week. Various hot spot locations were searched by officers but thankfully no weapons were found.

If you have children aged 14-18 years who would be interested in joining the Volunteer Police Cadets, please contact; Alex Adams PC 320ZD (Youth Engagement Officer) 020 8649 0158 020 8649 0183 Email: [email protected] There is also a junior program that is aimed at 10-13 years old, if you would like to enrol your child, please contact the coordinator above.
