Thank you for joining us for the PuSh Assembly Industry Series at the 2018 PuSh International Performing Arts Fes-tival! Whether a first-time or returning visitor, we hope this week is filled with connections and conversations. The schedule is conceived much like a structured improvisation—riding the line between expected outcome and spon-taneous discovery. We hope the set meet-up times are balanced with opportunities to create your own pathways.

This brochure is a supplement resource for the PuSh Assembly Industry Series, including profiles of our Pitch Ses-sion participants as well as our invited international delegates.

If you have any questions or feedback (or would like some insider tips to the city), please don’t hesitate to connect with us.

Joyce RosarioDIRECTOR OF PROGRAMMING

WELCOME

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTWe acknowledge that the PuSh Festival takes place on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh nations. We are grateful to be gathered here with you and recognize our privileged place on these lands.

For those who may be unfamiliar with the practice of land acknowledgements: ”traditional” recognizes lands tradi-tionally used and/or occupied by First Nations, “ancestral” recognizes land that is handed down from generation to generation, and “unceded“ refers to land that was not turned over to the Crown by a treaty or other agreement.
