• In This next block of instruction, you will be shown how to correctly assemble a service loop

WHY DO YOU NEED A SERVICE LOOP?

• An electrical service drip loop is a loop formed on the incoming feeder wires of your electrical service, before the meter. • The reason for having a drip loop on an electrical

service is to allow any rain or moisture, that may make contact with the wires.

the message wire

following • A Hanger

steel designed for strength and cutting ability

ENSURE YOU SELECT THE CORRECT RG6 COAX WIRE

Look for the RG6 coax with a messenger wire Carefully splice

the wire and peel away

• After splicing your messenger wire, feed it through the eye of the hanger

• Next, Bend the messenger wire over the lip of the hanger

• Next, make a loop with the RG6 wire and place it in the cradle of the hanger

• Run the messenger wire through the bottom notches and run it along side of the hanger

Notice how the messenger wire runs along the side of the hanger

Secure the messenger wire in

the top notch

1. Run the messenger wire down long the

inside of the hanger2. Secure the

messenger wire by making 3-5 tight wraps

around both wire to secure them together

3. Clip the excess messenger wire to give a

neat appearance

• When you have finished your service loop should look like this

be approximately 5-7 inches
