Priority module PVSP withintegrated brake charge valve

Integrated charge valve for the braking circuit Compatible with open-centre or closed-centre PVP

pump side modules with flows up to 160 l/min As option also available with a pressure reduction

valve for the braking circuit and a PVLP 63 shock valve for relief of pressure peaks.

With the introduction of PVSP, Danfoss can now sup-ply modules with integrated priority function and brakecharge valves.

The new modules offer the following advantages: Integrated priority function for the OSP steering unit

    and/or the working hydraulics, PVB

Priority module PVSP contains a P-connection (forthe pump) and a CF-connection. Accordingly, thestandard pump connections in PVP, PVPVM andPVPDM must therefore always be provided with asteel plug (see example on page 3).The PVSP module can give priority to an OSP stee-ring unit and/or a PVB 32 module. The excessiveflow is passed on through EF to non-prioritised PVB32 basic modules.

If priority is solely given to the OSP steering unit(157B6708, 157B6728 or 157B6718), the PVSPmodule fills in the place of end plate PVS(I). Whenspecifying valve groups of this nature, you are ther-efore not to give in any code number into field 11 inthe specification form (see example on page 6).In valve groups that must give priority to PVB 32(max. one PVB), PVSPM must be mounted as Mid-Inlet (157B6707, 157B6728 and 157B6709). ThePVB module that is given priority must be turned a180 and installed on the right of PVSP (see orienta-tion of ports on pages 4 and 5).PVSP-module 157B6718 includes an integrated

charge valve that feeds the braking circuit throughB1, B2 and B3. State the min required braking circu-it pressure in the LSA field (see example on page 6).As the start/stop ratio of the charge valve is 1:1.2, asetting pressure of, for example, 200 bar will makethe charge valve maintain a braking circuit pressureof 200-240 bar. If the working pressure of the valveexceeds the max permissible braking circuit pressu-re, a pressure reduction valve must be applied.

Note:In prioritised PVB-modules, always remember todismantle the LS shuttle valve (see example onpage 3). And together with prioritised PVB modules, always use endplate 157B2018 (without O-rings).In open-centre systems, prioritised PVB-modulesand steering units must always embody an integra-ted relief valve to avoid that an unintended, highpressure builds-up.

In closed-centre systems, the system relief valve inPVP opens at a (max. 20 bar) higher pressure onthe prioritised functions. It is therefore recommen-ded to use PVB and OSP with integrated relief valve.

PVSP module 157B6709contains no compensator asit solely gives priority to PVG32. Accordingly, you are notto give in any code numberinto field 13.

When specifying a PVG 32valve group that contains aPVSP module, give in thecode number into the fieldfollowing the last PVB-modu-le (in this case in field 6).Give in the code number ofthe compensator spool intofield 13 (see example onpage 6).For choice of stay bolt setPVAS, see page 4.

Give in the code number ofPVSPM into field 5.

For PVSPM, select a PVSendplate without O-rings,code 157B2018 (see exam-ple on page 7)For choice of stay bolt setPVAS, see page 5
