Under Quality education programme we are focusing on increasing learning among 3-6years children and protection, admission to local Anganwadi’s .Our activities are..

Foundation conducted preliminary survey in collaboration with Karnataka Child right observatory to assess the existing conditions of the Anganwadi; the result was produced to KCRO.

Based on the short coming the foundation has spread out various activities to enhance the quality of functioning the Anganwadi’s and support the department in its regular programmes.

1. Supporting for existing curriculum to enhance quality teaching in AW centres. Under this programme our advisor and preschool educationist guiding our team to enhance quality education, preliminary Observations has been made, and based on that, on the existing curriculum, regular teaching methods, follow-up and monitoring, and trainings are in process.

Field educationist has been appointed by the foundation to support Anganwadi’s related activities related to education.

Health camps has been conducted in collaboration with the DR Hahnemann Health research team , The five camps conducted had covered Anganwadi’s children, adolescents and their parents every month during the camp the medicines free of cost is provided as number of doses needed for the period.

The special cases like scabies, bone TB and water borne disease and severely malnourished children has given special attention and follow-ups.

The child right s committees formed have presented Anganwadi’s situation is presented in Grampanchayat preliminary meetings and child right committee meeting s as well panchayat children representative also participated in Vidhnasoudha childparliment.

The foundation visits to each Anganwadi’s based on the need as well regularly two to three times to conduct parents meetings, follow-up of activities like construction on the spot, children related issues and health follow-ups by field staff.

Regular communication is kept through letters, phone and personal visits for the discussion with CDPO and supervisors, teacher’s concerned

Planting tree saplings in Angashetty village 50 trees of various fruits, neem, tamarind, and medicinal plants was planted around Anganwadi’s and village temple premises provided by forest department Kolar.

Infrastructure

Wall Paintings and cleaning Anganwadi’s surroundings

Three Anganwadi’s which was in a bad state was cemented and painted ,as well child friendly painting has been done in Bingipura ,Angashetty halli and chikkauppralli.

The department has been supportive and cooperative to take on the work related to children and community.

Rainwater harvesting and Toilet constructions

Based on the need three infrastructure related to rainwater harvesting and toilets has been built

Angashetty halli toilet of 9&1/2ft with two commodes’, and rainwater harvesting, the programmes also includes regularly bimonthly health camps and wall painting, planting 50 wild trees in and around village

The toilet of 2 camods, rainwater for the roof of 24/14 ft, installation for water storage has been completed and started using by the children of the Anganwadi’s as well teachers

Toilet wall of 10 ft wide and 8ft length (outer wall measurement)

Pipes to collect rain water from two ends of 40 ft to water storage tank

Water storage tank on supportive cement base of 1000ltrs

PVC pipes, valve to collect Grampanchayat water to tank (40ft)

Pit connection to the toilet which has three rings.

Oil paintings to the Anganwadi’s outer and inner walls and colour paintings on th e top.

Donated to this Anganwadi’s .clothes to children, 6 new broom sticks for cleaning.

Renovation for the toilet and roof rainwater harvesting structure.

The roof top 24/23ft cementing and smoothening.

Parapet wall built around 24/23 ft roof top to collect rainwater.

500ltrs water storage tank installed to collect water from GP supply.

Health Camp Details Foundation is providing regular monthly health care services to the angawadi children, school and community, six health camps conducted from the month of June to November have covered every 700 community people. The children suffered from common ailment such as cold cough, scabies , ear infection , severe malnutrition , and bone TB cases, has been a major focus and treatment is provided continuously.

The Above camp is lead by a professional Dr.ArunMenon and Dr Srinivas,Dr Swathi, with 5 paramedical staff and free supply of homeopathy medicines from Dr Hahnemann Medical Research and Health care Foundation.
