Instructions for installation

1) Installation of the distance struts and reinforcement steel mesh

2) Installation of PYD® system pipe

3) Connection to the heating circuit distributor

4) Pressure test to controlthe leak tightness of the system

PYD® system pipes are installed on a reinforcement steel mesh onsite. PYD® system pipes are affi xed to the grid of steel rods every 50 cm by means

of cable ties. Doing so, the sizes of the heating circuits as specifi ed in the design are to be attended. Flow and return of every heating circuit are pushed

through the laying angle pipes, cut fi ttingly, and connected to the PYD® heating circuit distributor by means of the PYD® adaptors.

When the heating circuits have been installed, a pressure test to control the leak tightness of the system is performed. The testing pressure should be 6

bar and maintained until the addition of plaster or concrete has been completed.

All parts of the system that are liable to frost have to mandatorily be fi lled with a frost protection solution. Yet, the frost protection solution should be

added after the pressure test has been conducted

Duration of assembly:

In order to install the system in an area of 400 m², 2 fi tters and 1 helper will need approximately one day, in case the subground has

been prepared appropriately. This time specifi cation includes rolling out the PYD® system pipe, affi xing the pipe by means of PYD® cable

ties, and the connection of the pipe to the PYD® heating circuit distributor.

Setting up the PYD® heating circuit distributor and distribution box is estimated to take about 30 minutes.

PYD®-OUTDOOR keeps areas free of snow and ice. Driveways, exits, access roads, ramps, loading zones, parking lots, outdoor circulation

and movement areas, e.g. in front of hospitals, clinics, retirement homes, pedestrian areas, underground parking, and multi- story

garages, just to mention some possible applications, involve an increased risk of accidents by involuntary glissades or the like in the

cold winter months. The reduction of cost and the positive effect on the environment due to the reduction of personnel needed for

maintenance and omission of the use of road salt are to be taken into account, as well.

In tempering outdoor areas, the performance has to be calculated and adjusted individually, according to the desired or planned fl oor
