Replacement procedure
When? The Q-Gard Pack should be replaced when one of the following Alert or Alarmmessages is displayed.• REPLACE Q-GARD PACK, or• MILLI-Q RES < SP. REPLACE Q-GARD AND QUANTUM.
Removal Follow the steps below to remove the Q-6ard Pack.

2 • Push the Q-PQD Plunger (orPOD Plunger) down once todepressurise the Milli-QSystem.
• After water stops being
dispensed, push down theQ-POD Plunger (or PODPlunger) again. i
3 • Open the Milli-Q System leftdoor.
• Lift up the Pack LockingH a n d l e .

Installation Follow the steps below to install the Q-Gard Pack.

• Wet the 0-rings with water.Push the top of the Q-6ard Packinto the ports on the Milli-QSystem.

Rinsing
Procedure The Quantum Cartridge and the Q-Gard Pack need to be rinsed out after theyare installed.
Step A c t i o n
1 Locate the clear tubing and barbed fitting from the Accessories Bag.
2 Screw the barbed fitting onto the Q-POD Dispenser.
3 Push the clear tubing onto the barbed fitting. Place the other end ina sink.
4 Dispense water for about 10 minutes.5 Perform an AID Cleaning at this time. See User Manual.
N o t e
AID Cleaning is not needed for Milli-Q Reference and Milli-QReference A+ system.
6 Leave the Milli-Q System in READY Mode for at least 6 hours orovernight.
7 Dispense water for about 10 minutes.8 Remove the barbed fitting and clear tubing.
9 Install a POD Pak.
1 0 Leave the Milli-Q System in READY Mode.
