Q3. What kind of media institution might distribute your

media product and why?

After research on different distribution companies which would distribute my film, I found two which I think would be suitable for our film:

Working TitleWorking Title is British company which has made several successful films. As they are based in

London it would be easy to get into contact with them . They have produced many British Films such as Four weddings and a funeral, Les Miserables and Pride and Prejudice. Working Title also have a second company called Working Title 2. This would also be helpful as they are known for making more smaller and budget films. They have produced Billy Elliot.

Warner Brothers Warner Brother’s is a major American company which is known for their entertaining movies. Even

though they are based in America, it wouldn’t be impossible for them to distribute our film. I think Warner Brother’s is the company which should distribute our film because they produced The Dark Knight which is were we got some of our inspiration from and they have made quite a few thriller movies. Warner Brother’s also have a studio in London, so we would be able to use the British technology to produce a successful film.

Finally, I personally feel using social networking sites would be a great way to advertise our film. Facebook ,Twitter and Youtube are the most popular sites at the moment. This way everyone will be able to see our film and can tell their friends and family about it too. I also think it would be better if people watched our film at their local cinema as they wouldn’t get the same feeling if they watched it at home. The cinema will provide the audience with better screening and sound quality. This will actually make everything a lot more exciting.
