HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR AUDIENCE?

Mode of addressWhen attracting/addressing my target audience it was important to ensure I used a suitable mode of address so as to ensure they can understand the language used and really feel apart of the PULSE brand. I haven’t included vast swathes of text as I feel, being a part of this target audience myself, that this can sometimes seem daunting and relatively uninteresting. This is why I have included photos on the front cover, contents and double page spread to make it more appealing to look at and the short snippets of text easier to handle.

Audience FeedbackBefore creating my magazine, it was important that I gained audience feedback on things like the most popular cover lines, slogan, fonts, what would attract them to buying a music magazine and if they already read music magazines, in order that I can cater my magazine to my target audience.I used the results from my audience feedback to decide which slogan I would use, which cover lines would be most attractive to my target audience and what should be included on the front cover to make it an attractive prospect against the competition.I have aimed to attract my target audience by making it a suitable price for the target audience, suitable colour scheme, by including artists within the target audience and with the use of social media making the magazine more interactive for the reader.
