Job Title: Quality Assurance Coordinator

Department: Quality Assurance

Purpose: This position is the point person for activities related to providing Production with input/support in the processing of products and coordinates collection, analysis and reporting information for food safety and quality initiatives.

Objectives of the Position:

Assures finished products meet specifications and certifies products via Certificates of Analyses. Assures that data from raw material and product testing is properly input into Laboratory systems for trend analysis. Coordinates submission of samples going to contract laboratories for further analysis.

Assists with the raw material program. Assuring that incoming raw materials meet requirements through participation and monitoring activities of the QA Assistant.

Administers the Sensory evaluation of daily production through administration of cuttings and oversight of the QA Assistant.

Evaluates and dispositions raw materials or finished products via established procedures. Works closely with the QA Manager on customer based reporting requirements. Manages the QA database and tracking system with assistance from the QA Assistant. Manages calibration of laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Maintains calibration logs for

each piece of equipment showing frequency, method, sign offs, etc. Provides assistance during new product scale up trials. This includes monitoring trials and

providing analysis in a timely manner. Assists QA Manager with periodic audits of food safety and quality programs. QA Assistant and QA Manager when needed.

Identify and report non-conforming product. Responsible for investigation and root cause analysis of non-conforming material

Place holds on non-conforming materials

Follow established rework procedure Schedule rework.Manage product labels in system. Submit new labels and changes for verification. Add or modify labels in system.

Produce and control forms required for production.Adjust and change production forms as necessary.

Assist in scheduling and tracking of trainings. Develop employee training where needed.
