The 9th and 10th graders had a trip to Qufu, in order to build their teamwork. Furthermore, they tried to cooperate with each other and interact with new cul-ture by traveling to new places.

The students visited several different places. They trav-eled in their own travel teams so that it is easy for them to move around quickly and learn more facts efficiently about the place. Every travel groups had different experiences while traveling around, but everyone had fun while traveling around.

Often, the students would gather around all together and have fun. When some students had hard time during the trip, other students would help them to solve the problem out. For instance, the stu-dents went to restaurants in Qufu, and many of the Chinese speakers from the students helped to order the food. Thanks to these friends, we could eat delicious food that made everyone satisfied.

They also had fun in the Confucius Mansion, Temple, and the Forest. Students shared information and facts they know about the visiting place. They also took pictures for each other. Many of the students thought that they actually reached the goal of cooperating with each other.

The night market was beautiful. Students bought snacks and sou-venirs from the shops. One of the fun things that the students bought was the sleeping clothes. The clothes looked like crocodiles, pigs, and other animals, and some of the students and teachers bought the costume for fun. These costumes made all students laugh. Overall trip was successful, and many students felt that the trip was fun and valuable for them to get great memories, and even build their teamwork up.

On November 13th, there was a basketball competition between QAIS and KISQ, which was held at KISQ. All of the players had good match, and some people went to see and enjoyed as well.

Before the game, some students bought water for the players so that they would play a game with a better condition.

The players from QAIS were Daniel, Eric, Jake, Justin, Kang-min, and Ricky. Fortunately, no one was injured, and everyone was excited. Even though the weather was very cold and they have been practiced playing basketball together not for a long time, they made a successful outcome.

For the people who want to watch the games: The basket-ball matches are not ended up yet. There will be more games later, so if anyone wants to come and watch, please tell Mr. Chris so that he can reserve a car for everyone.

11월 13일, 이 날은 QAIS

와 KISQ의 농구 시합이 있

었던 날이었습니다. 우리

학교 팀으로는 Kang min,

Daniel, Justin, Eric, Jake 그

리고 Ricky 가 출전을 하였

습니다. 학교의 많은 아이

들이 KISQ에 응원을 하러

갔습니다. 전반전에는

Kang min이 2골을 넣고,

상대팀에서는 8골을 넣었

으므로, 각 골 당 2점씩 계

산하여, 4대 16으로 경기가

끝났습니다. 후반전에서는 QAIS농구팀이 5골로 10점을 얻고, KISQ팀이 4골로 8점을 얻었습니다. 비

록 전반전에서는 4:16으로 우리 학교가 졌지만, 후반전은 10:8로 우리 학교 농구팀이 이기는 운 좋은

결과를 냈습니다. 모든 학생들이 즐길 수 있는 경기였기에, 많은 아이들이 이번 경기를 즐겼습니다.

When we arrived the

manager of the company

welcomed us, then there

was a quick tour in the

main building when we

gained an insight into the

workers’ everyday life.

After that, there was an extremely exciting and

meaningful presentation about the company, what

kind of games do they desing ( mostly sport

games) and we could try them. We finished the day

with some questions. Thank you for Mr. JD that we

could go there.

Its finally the end of November and

everyone is eager to march into the

festival month of Christmas. “Its fun

because of presents and I am going

back to Italy” says Angie in an Inter-

view.

Everyone is excited about shopping,

presents, decorating the Christmas

tree and going back to their

hometown to celebrate.

At the same time they are exited for the performances they are going to perform on The

Himalayas hotel soon and the QAIS Christmas Show! All students and teachers are exited for

the coming vacation as well. I mean, who would come to school on Christmas?!

Even though its still November, most of the stores in Qingdao are filled up with Christ-

mas decoration as well! So don’t think it’s just November, Go Shop!

QAIS 학교 농구팀(Jake, Ricky, Justin, Kangmin, Eric, Daniel, and Mr. Chris) 은 농구시합이 있

어 은하학교에 가게 되었습니다. 은하 학교 농구부는 한국부, 중국부 그리고 국제부가 있었습니

다. 그 중 에서 우리 학교는 국제부랑 농구 시합을 펼쳤습니다. 처음에 선수들 모두 농구 필드

와 농구 골대가 익숙하지 않아 조금 힘들어 하였지만, 시간이 지나면서 적응을 잘하여 점수를

많이 낼 수 있었습니다. 그러나, 아쉽게도 상대팀은 우리 학교 보다 출중한 실력을 뽐냈기에 우

리 학교는 30대22로 시합에서 졌습니다. 그러나 학생들은 졌다는 것에 체념하지 않았습니

다. 왜냐하면 선수들 모두 농구를 즐겼고, 이 게

임을 통하여 우리 학교 농구팀이 발전 했기 때

문입니다. 비록 시합에서는 졌지만, 더욱더 값

진 경험을 얻었기에 모두가 웃었습니다. 농구

팀 선수들은 자신들이 좀더 노력을 한다면 한

국 국제 학교, 은하학교, 또는 다른 학교 농구

팀 또한 이길 수 있을 것 같다고 말했습니다.

They thought of how they have done in this trimester, how they could change their attitude

s, or what could they do to have better grades. Students have been also writing notes for e

ach of their works so when they introduce it to their parents if they forget what to say, or

what to summarize it they can easily look at the note and read it out. Student led conferen

ces have made some students nervous including me, so wish us good luck and have fun.

MYP have started from November 20th to prepare for the upcoming student led con

ference on December 1st. Students have been taking all their papers from each class

from the first trimester into a big binder that they will keep at school, they also put

the work that they shall show their parents on the student led conference in there.

Each class will have one to two pieces of work to show, o

ne that the teacher choose and one the student choose, s

tudents will explain their own work to their parents and t

heir teachers. Students have also reflected on their first tri

mester goals and have started setting new ones for the s

econd trimester.

오늘 제가 소개 할 게임은 전 세계적으로 유명한 "리그 오브 레전드 (League of Legend)" 입니

다. 이 게임의 장르는 AOS (Aeon of Strife) 입니다. AOS는 전통적인 RTS의 실시간 플레이와 조작체계 및 롤

플레잉 게임 (RPG, Role Playing Game)의 캐릭터 육성, 아이템 조합, 그리고 '공성 전' 과 같은 여러 요소들

이 복합적으로 결합되어 있습니다. 리그 오브 레전드는 다섯 명의 구성원으로 이루어져 상대팀과 전투

를 벌이게 되는 온라인 게임입니다. 전투를 벌이기에 앞

서, 챔프라 불리는 수많은 캐릭터들 중 하나를 선택하

여 싸우게 됩니다. 게임에서 이길 수 있는 방법은 상대팀

의 넥서스를 부수는 것입니다.

리그 오브 레전드 에는 삼십 가지의 레벨이 있습니다. 첫

번째부터 스물 아홉 번쨰 레벨까지의 게이머들은 일반

게임을 참여 할 수 있지만 가장 높은 랭크게임은 참여

할 수 없습니다. 오로지 소위 불리는 “만렙”을 달성해야만 랭크게임을 참여 할 수 있습니다. 여기서 만렙이

란 레벨이 가장 높은 것을 뜻합니다. 또한, 랭크 게임이란 리그 오브 레진드 안의 랭크 제도 에서 역할을

맡고 있는 게이머들끼리 게임을 펼치는 것을 뜻합니다. 또한 제일 먼저 레벨을 삼십까지 만들 경우, “배치”

라는 단계를 거쳐야 합니다. “배치”를 하려면 먼저 게임 열 판을 통하여 브론즈부터 골드까지의 순위를 달

성해야 합니다. 이 게임에는 제도에는 브론즈, 실버, 골드 플랜티넘, 다이아, 챌린저까지 포함하여 여섯 가

지 단계로 나눠져 있습니다. 그 중, 브론즈부터 골드 까지의 순위 제도를 달성해야 자신의 순위를 높일 수

있습니다. 그리고, 더욱 높은 등급일수록 더 높은 순위인 것 또한 당연한 것입니다.

이 게임을 하며 알아둬야 할 또 다른 것은 “룬” 이

라는 것입니다. 룬을 통하여 자신의 캐릭터를 강해지게

만들 수 있습니다. 처음에 게임을 시작할 시, 룬이 한 개

밖에 열려 있지 않지만, 레벨 30이 될 경우 모든 룬이 열

리게 됩니다. 리그 오브 레전드 안에는 대략 100개가 넘

는 챔프, 즉 캐릭터가 있는데 챔프는 자신이 게임을 통

해 번 돈으로 구매가 가능합니다. 마지막으로 게임 플레이 중에 사용할 수 있는 팁입니다.

리그 오브 레전드를 할 때에는 컨트롤이 아주 중요합니다. 그러나 가장 중요한 것은 바로 자

기 자신과의 두뇌싸움입니다. 기본적으로 리그 오브 레전드는 5대5로 하는 전략적 게임이고, 그

로 인해 두뇌싸움을 잘해야만 승리를 할 수 있기 때문입

니다. 또한 각자 게임을 하기 보다는 많은 인원이 함

께 할 수 있는 게임이기에 서로를 존중할 줄 알아

야 할 것입니다. 그렇지 않으면 결국엔 게임에서 패배하

게 됩니다. 그러므로, "리그 오브 레전드" 는 그저 노

는 게 아닌 서로를 존중하는 능력을 기를 수 있고, 두뇌

를 사용하는 능력 또한 기를 수 있는 게임입니다.

goodbye to November. As

a QAIS tradition, a selected

group of student body for

the month will host a sim-

ple celebration for those

born in November.

This November month, the 10th

graders were chosen to celebrate

the November birthdays. Their

plan is to create cards that have

symbols of luck in them. Student

has chosen several luck symbols

and made a card for each of

them.

The birthday stars will

randomly choose a card,

and the lucky symbol, to

bless them all the best

whishes for their new

beaning.

이제 곧 있으면 크리스마스가 다가옵니다. 크리스마스는 12월

25일 날 하는 happy holiday 입니다. 이 날에는 모든 아이들이

재미 있게 놀며, 산타 할아버지께서 주시는 선물을 기다리는

날입니다. 저희 학교에서

는 곧 크리스마스를 위하

여 축제를 준비하고 있습

니다. 학생들은 노래 연습

과 기타, 피아노, 밴드부

등 다양한 악기를 이용한 공연 또한 연습하

고 있습니다. 다가오는 토요일 Himalayas 호텔에서 학생들은 공연을

펼칠 예정이며, 많은 학생들이 점심시간과 방과 후 시간을 이용하여

열심히 연습에 매진하고 있습니다. 모두들 많이 기대해주시고 응원

바랍니다~ 모두 신나는 메리 크리스마스~
