What is for us and what is for him?

What do we have to do with him?

You feel thirsty تعطش children ذرة

You become sick تمرض You feel hungry تجوع

It is interrupted, it gets cut off

excuse عذر They don’t find ال جدون

CHAPTER ELEVEN نوح الرسول

The leaders رإساء The rich people أغناء

messengership رسالة He chose اختار

He carries حمل He did not choose لم ختر

You warn! أنذر trust أمانة

It comes to them ؤتهم before من قبل

CHAPTER TWELVE اجابه القومما ذا

friends أصدقاء Answered him أجابه

childhood صغر He used to play كان لعب

The most ignorant one

متكبرون The arrogant ones جهال

That he obtains أن نال He would send down

CHAPTER THIRTEEN بن نوح و قومه

foolishness سفاهة Deviation, misguidance

Indeed we see you

At the top of his لنراك voice

بؤعلى صوته

messages رسلت I convey to you أبلغكم

I advise أنصح

CHAPTER FOURTEEN أتبعك االرذلون

The feeble ones ارذلون Follow you أتبعك

The feeble ones أراذل They ponder فكروا The one who expels طارد He expels طرد

CHAPTER 15 حجة االغناء

We have tried. It has been our experience

followers تبع Predecessors, those who are the

forefront

It does not pass by us

ال خطئنا It does not miss us ال جاوزنا

They preceded us سبقونا It would have come to us

CHAPTER 16 دعوة نوح

ears آذان

CHAPTER 17 دعاء نوح

You argued with us

They are جادلتناworshipped

تعبد

You promise us تعدنا You did it a lot أكثرت

He lost hope ئس

CHAPTER 18

فنةالس

That he saves ان نجو That he makes صنع

carpenter نجار Work, occupation شغل

ارتقى Elevated, went up ربوة

refuge ملجاء They run away فرون

CHAPTER 20 ابن نوح

I will betake myself, I will seek

shelter

أركب Ride! (imperative) سآوي

savior عاصم It will save me عصمن

He grieved حزن Intervened, came in between

He intercedes شفع Did not survive لم نج

CHAPTER 21 لس من أهلك

lineage أنساب The most judge of judges

حاكمنأحكم ال

Do not ask me ال تسؤلن He warned نبه

He heeded the warning

أعظك I advise you تنبه

CHAPTER 22 بعد الطوفان

العاصفةCHAPTER 1 بعد نوح

It fills تمل Storm, gust, strong wind

CHAPTER 2 كفران عاد

They carve نحتون ingratitude كفران

Under the influence of

حاجات needs على اثر

The dumb ones أغباء The wise ones عقلء

CHAPTER 3 عدوان عاد

Burden, liability وبال transgression عدوان

forest غابة Brutes, fierce animals

The submissive ones

CHAPTER 4 قصور عاد

Activity, occupation

قصور palaces شغل

building بناء Takes pride, boasts

elevated مرتفعة It wastes تضع

dweller ساكن Without need من غر حاجة

CHAPTER 5 سولهود الر

From among them من انفسهم They do not use ال ستعملون

On the basis of wisdom and

righteousness

He grew up على عقل و صالح نشؤ

CHAPTER 6 دعوة هود

You throw towards it

نحتموها You sculpted ترمون اله

Does not leave ال فارق bone عظم

More honorable أجل More humiliated أذل

CHAPTER 7 جواب القوم

It became tight ضاق They were satisfied

أطمانوا

Indeed we consider you

Restlessness, a لنظنك sense of

uneasiness

CHAPTER 8 حكمة هود

You lose, you miss ال تفقدون I do not decrease, I do not cause any

flaw

ال أنقص

Did you find it surprising?

تتعجون You wonder أوعجبتم

CHAPTER 9 امان هود

It afflicted you اصابك Did not find لم تجد

It falls تسقط Make a plan against me

كدونى

CHAPTER 10 عناد عاد

It was lost on them

عناد obstinacy ضاعت فهم

boldness جراءة We look forward to

نشتاق

He expressed grief تؤسف

CHAPTER 11 عذاب

They shouted صاحوا piece قطعة

It uproots تقلع (wind) blew ه ب ت

It flew around طارت

It demolishes تهدم

They hugged اعتنق sand رمال

They(female) cried loudly

جدران walls صحن

protector عاصم They seek help ستغثون

It showed generosity

Lives, ages عمراعمار ,

CHAPTER 2 كفران ثمود

They were given اوتوأ Did not carry them

لم حمل

Safe, secure آمن Soft ground, plain سهل

CHAPTER 3 عبادة االصنام

slaves عباد It was not enough for them

لم كفهم

They humiliated themselves

He gave them أهانوا انفسهمhonor

كرمهم

He refuses ؤبى What a wonder! عجبا

They submitted خضعوا He disobeys them عصهم

He humiliated them

أذلهم

صالح عله الصالة و السالم

Prestige, rank, state

رجاء hope شؤن

They were amazed تحر They will win over سنجحون

CHAPTER 11 النوبة

Do not touch it with an evil

Run away نفر fodder علف

turn نوبة animals ماشة

CHAPTER 12 طغان ثمود

They transgressed طغوا Became arrogant استكبر

He warned حذر They became tired up

ضجر

Two wretched ones

هنوا They humiliate شقان

salughtered نحر arrow سهم
