HOW TO APPLY Applying to a college can be confusing. We hope this guide will make it easy for you to become a CNA-Q student.

STEP 1

1) Official copy of your secondary school grades • If you attended a non-State or private school, you will need your

secondary grades validated by Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education. We will give you the letter you will need to take to the Ministry once we start processing your application.

• Students currently in high school who have not yet received their final marks may apply to CNA–Q prior to receiving their final grades.

2) Copy of your passport photo page3) Copy of your Qatari National Identification card • All students applying to CNA-Q must be legal residents of Qatar and

possess a valid Residency Permit ID number in order to be eligible for admission.

• Current senior high school students who have yet to receive their final grades are permitted to write the entrance examinations but will be put on the waitlist only after receiving these examination results and validation.

• Candidates are admitted to an academic program until capacity is reached or the waitlist has been exhausted.

Any three (3) additional Grade 12 courses with an overall average of at least 60%.

We will choose your three highest academic subjects for the best average.

Two (2) Grade 12 Science courses with an overall average of at least 60%.

Chemistry and Physics are highly recommended.

Grade 12 Biology with an overall average of at least 60%.

Grade 12 Chemistry with an overall average of at least 60%.

COLLECT ALL APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS What you need to complete your application:

ALL PROGRAMS:

Grade 12 English Language (Minimum 60%)

Grade 12 Academic Mathematics (Minimum 60%)or Grade 12 Advanced Mathematics (Minimum 50%)

When you apply online you will be asked to create a CNA-Q account. Step-by-step instructions on how to do this are provided on the site.

TAKE THE ENTRANCE TESTSWhen you apply for admission, you can select your preferred

placement test times. If your application does not meet the admission requirements you will receive an e-mail within 3 days.

A) English Placement Test CNA-Q uses the Oxford Online Placement Test for English language testing. It is a computerized test that adjusts to your language level. This means that test questions are selected depending on your English ability. The exam takes 45 – 90 minutes, depending on your performance.

B) Mathematics Placement Test This test normally takes 2 hours and is made up of 75 multiple choice questions that cover:

• Fractions• Order of equations• Equations• Exponents• Radicals and fractional exponents• Decimals and percentages

• Integers• Graphing• Measurements• Factoring• Rational expressions• Word problems

CHECK YOUR APPLICATION STATUS After you have submitted your application and your account is created,

you will be able to view your application status online at: go2cnaq.cna-qatar.com

STEP 4

PAY YOUR ADMISSIONS APPLICATION AND TESTING FEE

Application processing fee is 300QR and is non-refundable.

You can submit the application fee using Visa or MasterCard credit cards only.

If you do not have a Visa or MasterCard credit card, you can save your application online and make your cash payment in person at the Admissions and Registration Department in Building 3 at the CNA-Q campus.
