Introduction
Qatar Precast Co., LLC., was established in January 1998, as a fully operational production unit to
manufacture precast concrete products such as prestressed Hollow Core Slabs & Beams and also
columns, solid slabs, stairs, walls, parapets and architectural claddings.

All companies are part of a joint venture Company between Lafarge Readymix International and
Sheikh Hamad Abdulla M.J. Al-Thani.

The Health and Safety
Qatar Precast co., LLC., because of its association with international company like Lafarge adheres to
international standard in observing and health and safety measures in the company factory premises to
job sites. All products are being studied to conform with the company’s health and safety assurance to
the general public and environment.
The Challenges
In the year 1998, Qatar Precast Co., LLC., has approached various contractors and finally with the
Ministry of Education. As a result, we have succeeded in changing from cast insitu slabs to prestressed
hollowcore slab. As a landmark project in Qatar, it was highly talked about and soon the attitude of the
people in construction industry change. It was when the time the precast solution is not widely accepted
in Qatar. The project is a two storey building in various locations.

In the year 2000, when Al Jaber Trading & Contracting with Qatar Real Estate Investment Company,
asked Qatar Precast Co., LLC., to provide precast solution for Mesaieed Labor Camp. The project was
provided with prestressed hollow core slab. The project consists of different type of single and two
storey common dwelling.
In the year 2001, Mideast Constructors and Technip Engineering has approached Qatar Precast Co.,
LLC., to produce and deliver precast concrete columns and beams for the Sulfur Recovery Project at Ras
Laffan Industrial City. As a response, we created a team of designers and engineer to cater the
requirement in time. At first we were amazed of the units not to mentioned the each unit has to have at
least 3 or more insert plates being a minimum weight to be 40 kgs. By utilizing steel molds, two mobile
crane just to lift and lay the cages of reinforcement, we were able to be ahead of time in completing our
commitment. The quality requirement of the produce unit was so stiff due to the delicate final
environment.
In the year 2002, Qatari Arabian Construction Company and White Young Qatar with the Ministry of
Defense when Qatar Precast was contacted to provide precast solution for the floor and roof deck. The
project was the Al Udeid Air Base. As a results, when have supplied prestressed hollow core slab for
more than 30 different building inside the said military installation.
In the same year of 2002, Qatar Precast Co., LLC., has successfully engage and provided a precast
solution for the multi-storey car parking for Hamad Medical Corporation located at Rumaillah, proving
that precast can be integrated even in a most dynamic building use.
In the year 2003, Al Muftah Contracting and Qatar Design Consortium contacted Qatar Precast Co.,
LLC., with the construction plan for Qatar Petroleum headquarters in Dukhan, it was agreed that the
original design of Double Tee for floor and roof deck be design with the alternative of using prestressed
hollow core slab. Upon collaboration with the design, engineering and construction and coordination
with the Qatar Design Consortium, we come up with the precast solution of precast prestressed beams
and hollow core slab. By the use of the precast the contractor has significantly reduced time and money
for the completion of the project, noting that the complete headquarters is composed of three tangent
circles. The project consists of three multi storey circular buildings.
In the year 2004, another challenge was up for Qatar Precast Co., LLC., that the project with Oriental
Enterprises with Qatar Petroleum as a client is to supply prestressed hollow core slab in the island of
Halul. The precast products used have to be transported by land and sea. The project is for senior staff
accommodation and consists of buildings.
In the year 2005, Joannu & Paraskevaides Overseas Ltd., and KEO International Consultant and Qatar
Foundation as client, has contacted Qatar Precast Co., LLC., to produce, supply, deliver and install a

prestressed girder with a length of 22 m. Again, Qatar Precast Co., LLC., has contributed to the timely
completion of the project. The said project is located at the Qatar Foundation’s Science and Technology
Park.
In the same year 2005, when due to demand in the labor accommodations in the industrial estate that
we come up with precast solution for the private individual and company. It where we provide the most
complete precast solution for a building, consisting of precast columns, beams, stair, hollow core slabs
and parapet wall. The said system is now widely accepted, that it has spread in the country not only for
labor accommodations, but for villas as well. We have now projects to be supllied with precast items as
far as Al Thakira.
In the year 2006, Zublin International and Maunsell AECOM with Qatar Real Estate Investment
Company as client, Qatar Precast Co., LLC., provided precast solution for the project with precast beams
and solid slab and prestressed hollow core slab. The project Mesaieed Housing for Staff Accomodation,
consisting of single, two storey villas and three storey buildings.
In the same year 2006, Gulf Housing & Construction with KEO International and CCIC with Khatib Alami
and Bechtel Overseas as consultant approved Qatar Precast Co., LLC., as a producer and supplier for
precast products such as prestressed hollow core slab and precast cladding panel for the New Doha
International Airport. Currently, Qatar Precast Co., LLC., is supplying prestressed hollow core slab in the
project site. The project consists of different multi-storey buildings.
Today, Qatar Precast Co., LLC., is engage with Gulf Housing & Construction for the Qatar Transmission
Expansion project of different substation locations in the country, supplying prestressed hollow core
slab as a solution for roof deck. With Al Seal Contracting for supplying precast stairs for the Twin Palm
Tower at West Bay, also with the precast parapet of the ZigZag Towers at West Bay Lagoon. With Zublin
International, for another package in Mesaieed Housing project.
The list of our current and ongoing project all over the country would exceed 140 different jobs, from
private individual to government institution like NDIA. This only proves that our clients are satisfied with
the services and products we offer. The challenges we have and prevailed upon will only make us more
efficient in delivering our commitment.
