Remove unnecessary items and dispose of them properly.

Make work easier by eliminating obstacles.

Reduce chance of being disturbed with unnecessary items.

In this slide unnecessary cartoons and bottles of soft drink are placed on the work platform which are not necessary and it will create obstacles for the workers.

As in this picture all cartoon and soft drink bottles are placed on their respective places , therefore the workers will face no difficulty and sort one of the 5s will be obtained.

a. Arrange all necessary items in order so they can easily picked for use.

b. Prevent loss and wastage of time.

c. Make it easy to find and pick up necessary items.

d. Can also be translated as “set in order”

• Clean your workplace completely.• Use cleaning as inspection.• Keep workplace safe and easy to

work.• Can also be translated to “sweep”.

This slide shows the negative practices of 5s as the work place is not clean.

In this the negativity shown in the previous slide has been rectified because we know shine means keeping the workplace clean.

• Maintaining high standards and housekeeping and work place organization at all times.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness.• Maintain everything in order and

according to its standard.

In this picture the low standard of vegetables are shown and polythene which are used for packaging are unhygienic.

In this slide the vegetables shown in the picture are fresh and paper bags are used for packaging which are safe for environment. Hence standard one of the 5s practice is maintained.

Here in one of the picture the workers are chatting among themselves and in other the worker is standing and wasting his time, this will lead delay in order delivery.

Lesson learnt by usThe most important thing that we know about the importance of the 5S i.e. Shine, Straighten, Short, Sustain, Standardize. This project has helped us built confidence, in ourselves. Our communication skill developed. We learnt how to tackle with the problems. And now we are more comfortable in interactive with others. While preparing this project we came across some of following management principals:1. Principal of Division of work 2. Principal of Espirit de corps 3. Principal of fair RemunerationAnd many other principal we practice .
