QL (Quality Lead: Policeman of the team) Main roles and responsibilities of a QL in our project are as follows: 1. Reporting: o Keep the QPMD (Quality Planning & Monitoring Document) updated. It is the bible for QL. o Prepare QLSR (Quality Lead Status Report) on a monthly basis. o Update VPS (Verification Performance Sheet) on a monthly basis. 2. Audits: o Plan internal audits (every 45 days) in QPMD. o Conduct internal QL audit at predefined frequency (every 45 days) o Prepare audit report for audits conducted. o Track all the NC’s (audit findings) to closure. 3. Checklist: o All SDLC processes are being followed. o Backup of the files and database is being taken before deployment of each and every task. o Ensure that timesheets are being filled in correctly using proper combination of TT – STT – Activity. o Ensure that status reports are generated at their predefined frequency. PSR – Monthly by PM. WSR / DSR – Weekly / Daily by TL. o Ensure that project planning documents such as SPMP (Software Project Management Plan), SCMP (Software Configuration Management Plan) etc are always updated. o Documents such as UTCD, Review Log, TCD etc are being prepared for each and every task. o Check that MOM’s are prepared and checked in CVS. 4. Perform gap analysis. 5. Resource Management: o Check for ramp-up plan of the resource. o Check for hand-over take-over notification and report.
