USC campus mapHow to locate rooms on campusThe University has a numbering system for tutorial rooms, lecture theatres, computer laboratories and offices on campus. The numbering system identifies (in order) the building, the level, and the room number. Example: KG.46 is Building K, ground floor, room 46. Lecture theatres are identified by the letters LT and a number. Example: LT7 is Lecture Theatre 7.
How to raise an alarm in an emergency1. Call for assistance (yell “FIRE” for attention)
2. Dial 000 (0-000 if using an internal phone)—Fire, Ambulance or Police
3. Then dial 5430 1122 (1122 if using an internal phone)—Campus Emergency Number (Security)
4. Or dial 5430 1168 (1168 if using an internal phone)—Security
5. Give an accurate location (such as building/landmark, your name and the nature of the emergency)
Emergency Call Points (ECPs) are located in car parks and near buildings (refer to map). When pressed, an alarm will be activated and Security will respond immediately.
