HOW LIGHT IS ABSORBED:HOW LIGHT IS ABSORBED:
EVOLUTION:EVOLUTION:
WHAT IS LIGHT:WHAT IS LIGHT:
The human body
absorbs light through
the eyes, the skin
and the diet as
oscillating energy
and supports a wide
range of biological
functions
WHAT IS LIGHT:WHAT IS LIGHT:
Only the close affinity to the light, makes it possible to us to perceive light.
But only though the absence of light we can experience and detect the presence of light.
WHAT IS LIGHT:WHAT IS LIGHT:
Only the change of light and darkness, only the rhythm of day and night, shows us the whole spectrum of life. All life is subject to the ever-changing rhythm of day and night.
WHAT IS LIGHT:WHAT IS LIGHT:
Every cell in our body responds to these changes and each cell is ultimately nourished by light energy.
Sunlight with an incredibly broad spectrum of waves gives us not only life, but it is also fundamental in maintaining good health.

Light radiation must be absorbed to produce a biological response.
All biological systems have a unique absorption spectrum which determines what wavelengths of radiation will be absorbed to produce a given therapeutic effect.

• Most systems use a continuous light beam in the wavelength range between 385 - 3500nm.
• This treatment reduces infections and supports natural healing mechanisms.
• The systems are easy to handle.
• In many cases light therapy also helps where traditional medical methods fail, and in many cases without additional medication.
• One session per day, approximately 10 - 20 sessions over 4 weeks is average required. Ø The treatment durations are between 4 ~ 15 minutes per treatment area.
TREATMENT WITH LIGHTTREATMENT WITH LIGHT
1. Remove make-up, sweat and dirt with cleansing cream. In case of inflammatory skin dis-eases, cleanse smoothly.
2. Rinse cleanly so the Light can thoroughly the skin.
TREATMENT STEPSTREATMENT STEPS
3. Prepare skin or wound for treatment.
4. During the radiation, the patient feels in most cases no pain. One can carry goggles but with most light therapy devices it is not necessary.
TREATMENT STEPSTREATMENT STEPS
5. Soothe the skin after therapy with rubber pack, and so on.

• LASER = Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation.
• Laser consists of same wavelength, colour, form and direction.
WHAT IS A LASERWHAT IS A LASER

• 400-1’000nm
HIGH OR LOW ENERGY LASERHIGH OR LOW ENERGY LASER
The working principal of a laser is called stimulated emission:
• Electrons are supplied with energy.• Electrons have the property of being in a low energy level.• They therefore emit energy in form of light.
HOW DOES A LASER WORKHOW DOES A LASER WORK
- The emitted Light moves between two mirorrs back and forth and becomes always stronger.
- One mirorr is pacially trasparent to light, so that light in form of a beam can be released.
A photon hits an excited atom...
and the atom emits a new photon that is exactly equal to the first.
