QM100 MASTER DATA

QS36 - Display Characteristic Where Used ListInspection Methods

Inspection methods can be referenced in master inspection characteristics and inspection characteristics in a task list. The where-used list displays the master inspection characteristics and task list characteristics, in which an inspection method is used.

Procedure

In this lesson, you will display an inspection method assignment to a Master Inspection Characteristic ACALD_CO using transaction QS36 - Display Inspection Method in Task list.

An Inspection Method can be referenced in master inspection characteristics as well as inspection characteristics in a task list.

The where-used list displays the master inspection characteristics and task list characteristics, in which an inspection method is used.

 

 

Step Action

1.   Start the transaction Display Inspection Method in Task List using the transaction code.Enter the desired information into the Command field. Enter "QS36".

2.   Confirm your entries and proceed to the next screen using the appropriate

3.   The Display Master Insp. Characteristic version: Initial Screen is displayed.

Use this screen to enter the inspection method you want to display. Each inspection method is a plant dependent.

In this lesson you want to display method ACALD_CO in the Toluca plant.4.   You want display method ACALD_CO.

Enter the desired information into the Insp. method field. Enter "ACALD_CO".

5.   The Inspection method is for the Toluca plant.

Process as required. Click in the Plant field.

6.   The method is for the Toluca plant (MX00).Enter the desired information into the Plant field. Enter "MX00".

7.   You want to display the Inspection Method version 1.

Process as required. Click in the Version field.

8.   In the Version field you enter the version number of Inspection Method which is currently in use.

A version method can be maintained in different ways. The version number is always assigned by the system.

The system assigns a new version number if:

1. An existing master record is created with a new validity period.

2. A master record is changed with history.

You want to display Method Version 1.Enter the desired information into the Version field. Enter "1".

9.   You want to display the Method assignment to a Master inspection characteristic ACALD_CO.

The usage screen is displayed.Click the Usage button.

10.   In Firmenich, the Method is assigned to a Master Inspection Characteristic.

You want to display the assignment for this Inspection Method ACALD_CO to the Master Inspection Characteristic ACALD_CO.

11.   You want to display the assignment details. Click the In master inspection characteristic button.

12.   The Insp. Method Usage Master Insp. Characteristic: Overview screen is displayed.

In this screen you can see the assigned master inspection characteristic details including:

Characteristic name (MstrCharac), characteristic plant, valid from date, characteristic version and short text as well as the inspection method name and key date.

13.   You want to display the Master Inspection Characteristic ACALD_CO that has been assigned to the Inspection Method ACALD_CO.

You first of all select the row for the Inspection Characteristic you want to display.Click the ACALD_CO cell.

14.   You want to display the master inspection characteristic details.Click the Master inspection characteristic button.

15.   The Display Master Insp. Characteristic Version: General Data screen is displayed.

In this screen you can see the characteristic Short text, characteristic Search field, Characteristic Status (released or blocked), plant, version and either the characteristic is a Quantitative (result with numeric value) or a Qualitative (result with a text code).

16.   You want to return to the Ins. Method Usage In Master Insp. Characteristic : Overview screen.Click the BACK button.

QS24 - Display Inspection CharacteristicInspection Characteristic

An inspection characteristic is created as a master record. This characteristic is intended for frequent use in inspection plans or for evaluation purposes across all inspection plans. Master inspection characteristics are language-independent.

Procedure

In this lesson, you will display master inspection characteristic details and settings for ACALD_CO using transaction QS24 - Display Inspection Characteristic.

Inspection characteristics are used in inspection plans, material specifications and certificate profiles to simplify and standardise data entry.

1.   Start the transaction Master Inspection Characteristic . using the transaction code.Enter the desired information into the Command field. Enter "QS24".

Use this screen to enter the master inspection characteristic you want to display. Each inspection characteristic is plant-dependent.

4.   The Inspection Characteristic is for the Toluca plant (MX00).Enter the desired information into the Plant field. Enter "MX00".

5.   You now need to enter the Inspection Characteristic ACALD_CO that you want to display.Click in the Master insp. charac field.

6.   You want to display the Master Inspection Characteristic ACALD_CO.Enter the desired information into the Master insp. charac field. Enter "ACALD_CO".

7.   You want to display the Inspection Characteristics as on 19.02.2007.

Proceed as required.Click in the Key date field.

8.   Use the calendar to select the characteristic key date.Click the Matchcode button.

9.   The Key Date is the date from which a data record is valid.

You have the following two options:

1. If you enter a date, the system searches for a master record that is valid on this date.

2. If you do not enter a date, the system selects all master records.

The system displays a calendar.

You want to display the characteristics on 2007/02/19.Click the 19 object.

10.   The Version Number of the Master Inspection Characteristic means that you can have several versions for each Characteristic. For example, you want to have the same Master inspection Characteristic with a different value format or unit of measure, you can create a different version of the same characteristic.

In this lesson, you want to display version Number that is related to the Master Inspection Characteristic. This is always assigned version number 1.

11.   You want to display the version number 1 for the master inspection characteristic.Click in the Version field.

12.   You want to display the version for the Master Inspection Characteristic.

Remember that this is always assigned version number 1.Enter the desired information into the Version field. Enter "1".

13.   You want to display the Master inspection characteristic details.

Click the Master inspection characteristic button.

14.   The Display Master Insp. Characteristic Version: General Data screen is displayed.

In this screen you can see the Short text and the Search field that will be used for search purposes, as well as the characteristic type (Quantitative or Qualitative).

This inspection characteristic is Quantative. The inspection results will therefore be a numeric value.

15.   You want to display the related inspection methods ACALD_CO.

The assigned inspection method dialogue box displays.Click the Inspection Methods button.

Step Action16.   Inspection Method

An inspection method describes how to inspect an inspection characteristic. You can assign an inspection method to a master inspection characteristic or directly to an inspection characteristic in an inspection plan.

In the Assigned Inspection method dialogue box you can see the Inspection method that was assigned to the Master inspection characteristicincluding the method version and the key date.

In this dialogue box, you can see the characteristic specification including Decimal places, lower specification limit (Lower spec lmt) and upper specification limit (Upper Limit).

21.   You want to display the characteristic basic settings.Click the Control indicator button.

22.   The Display Characteristic Control Indicators dialogue box is displayed.

In this dialogue box, you can see the characteristic settings as defined by the Quality Department.

For example: Summ. recording (Summarized Recording)

If you set this indicator, only summarized values are confirmed for the inspection results of the characteristic after an inspection.

23.   You want to display the next characteristic basic setting screen.Click the ENTER button.

24.   The Display Characteristic Control Indicators dialogue box is displayed.

This dialogue box screen displays additional characteristic settings such as:

Fixed scope: If you set this indicator, the number of inspected units must correspond to the pre calculated number of units to be inspected for results recording.

25.   You want to return to the characteristic details screen.Click the ENTER button.

MSC1N - Create BatchDisplay Batch

A batch is a subset of the total quantity of a material in stock, managed separately from other subsets of the same material.

Example:Different production lots (such as paints, dyes, wallpapers, and pharmaceutical products), delivery lots and a quality grades of a material.

Procedure

In this lesson, you will create the batch TRAINING for the Toluca plant using transaction MSC1N - Create a batch.

 

 

Step Action

1.   Start the transaction code Create batch using the transaction code.Enter the desired information into the Command field. Enter "MSC1N".

2.   Confirm your entries and proceed to the Create Batch screen using the appropriate icon.Click the ENTER button.

3.   The Create Batch screen is displayed. in this screen you want to enter the material number, the plant and the storage location that the batch is related to. In addition to that you can create the batch with refrence to anothe batch.

4.   The material number 000183 is for Toluca plant.Enter the desired information into the Material field. Enter "000183".

5.   The batch TRAINING is for Toluca plant.Enter the desired information into the Batch field. Enter "TRAINING".

6.   The plant is Toluca.Click in the Plant field.

7.   You now need to enter the Toluca plant number that the batch is related to.Enter the desired information into the Plant field. Enter "MX00".

8.   You want to enter the storage location 2000 where the good is stored.Click in the Stor. location field.

10.   Confirm your entries and proceed to the next screen.Click the ENTER button.
