Q.P.I. Group Quality Products International (Q.P.I.) was founded in 1988 in the Netherlands by two Printed Circuit Board (PCB)

experts, who believed that the performance in this industry needed to change in the way in which the business

processes took place. Q.P.I.'s trademark during the first few years was quality, speed and service. Right from the

start, Q.P.I. worked on a paradigm change in the way of thinking about lead times.

In the early nineties in particular, Q.P.I. grew rapidly and developed more and more into a technology company,

which developed and industrialised pioneering interconnection technologies for many clients. Simultaneously,

investments were made in a metallurgy lab.

In 1996 Q.P.I. started with its EDA activities. Meanwhile multiple programs are used from Mentor Graphics, Zuken,

Cadence and Altium. In 1998 Q.P.I. opened a model-shop to offer quick-turn, hand mounted, assembled

prototypes. In 2005 Q.P.I. opened a branch in Belgium.

In 2010 the Q.P.I. Group opened it facilities in Nanshan, Shenzhen, China including a laboratory for PCB

investigation.

In 2012 a trading organisation was established in Hong Kong for direct shipment for customers in Europe, Asia and

the Americas.

Now the Q.P.I. Group has evolved into a technology house for advanced interconnection technologies and into a

one-stop-shop for the controlled development and production of Printed Circuit Boards from the idea phase,

through the development phase and onto mass production. Q.P.I.'s trademark of the first few years, quality,

speed and service, is still Q.P.I.’s trademark today.

The Q.P.I. branch can easily reached from the HK

airport by using the ferry from the airport to Shekou.



Production Q.P.I., as IPC member, offers printed circuit boards made according IPC A600

class 2 or 3 under stringent process conditions. The PCB are conforming UL

certification, RoHS and/or ISO TS 16949. Also MIL-P-55110 and MIL-P-50884

approved PCBs are possible. All our PCB’s are 100% electrically tested

The manufacturing processes are qualified according ISO14001.

Q.P.I. is focussed to supply always the most optimal product solution for its

customers. To guarantee the best technical solution and the highest quality

Q.P.I. divided the PCB products in several market segments:

CAM Q.P.I. makes use of Genesis 2000 both in its Dutch facility and Chinese

facility. The jobs are evaluated inspected and engineered by either the CAM

department in Netherlands or China. As both CAM departments make use of

identical tools this speeds up the CAM process. In case of technical questions

the customer will be contacted for clarification of the issue and to resolve the

issue assuring that the most optimal process conditions can be used to

manufacture the PCB, thus assuring the highest quality.

The Q.P.I. Group makes use of Navision as ERP system, all offices therefore

have full access to the information at all times.

In case of special specification requirements the CAM department will take

those into account. This can be on product but also on customer base. Q.P.I.

issues in the later a specific customer specification, to assure that.

Q.P.I. is for more than 25 years active in the development and supply of printed circuit boards. For over 10

years Q.P.I. has been active in Asia and since 2010 Q.P.I. has its own branch in Shenzhen.

Qualification of the production is for Q.P.I. of utmost importance. Only with the use of well-designed

processes optimal quality products can be realized. As part of the release products have been carefully

analysed by our quality engineers. The production is regularly audited.

Inspection data is statistically analysed to signalize trends in the production.

Packaging The printed circuit boards are packed in vacuum sealed plastic. For flex product an alternative will be

chosen based on the type of product. All products will be packed in an airworthy, neutral coloured,

corrugated boxes, respecting maximal weights per single box for easy handling.

In case of special wishes those likely can be honoured.

Special wishes Q.P.I. wants to be a real customer oriented company and its therefore open to any specific request.

The Q.P.I. engineers can assist in adapting designs for optimal functionality, can advise the most

appropriate build-ups or advice in the choice of base materials. The Q.P.I. engineers do have many years

of experience in de design of PCBs, developing the technology and the manufacturing of PCBs.

Q.P.I. Laboratories

The Q.P.I. laboratories are equipped to do complete analyse of the PCBs’. Among others equipment to

make cross-sections, callipers for mechanical measurements and thickness measurement, optical

inspection systems and microscopes. In its Dutch facility Q.P.I. has among others a Fischerscope XRAY

for surface finish inspections and 3D X-ray for non-destructive quality investigations. For life time and

quality investigations temperature and temperature-shock cabinets are available.

Inspection in-line, both product and process, is crucial to guarantee the product quality. Nevertheless is

outgoing inspection important to make sure that the product is in full compliance with the specification.

All the boards are electrically tested before the leave the production.

Q.P.I. has laboratories in both its facilities in the Netherlands and China.
