Quad Access Mats

• The mats are light enough to be handled by two people.• Heavy equipment is not required to set or install.

Edson Quad Club Project – Little Sundance Provincial Park

• Muskeg crossing on major quad trail in a provincial park.• Government stepped in to halt damage on the crossing.• Quad Club used combination of Quad road and access mats to

alleviate the disturbance of the environment.

Access Mats vs. Quad Road

• Because of the unevenness of the ground, the access mats heaved significantly during the spring.

• The quad road held up in the same conditions for a smooth, continuous trail system

Smaller Foot Print

• The Quad road was installed in February 2012

• Grass is already peeking up through the quad road

• The design of the road allows the environment to flourish underneath.

Unsupported Sections

• Unsupported sections of quad road are held up by supported sections on either side.

• This allows a user to cross small open sections of disturbed ground easily.

• The connectors are designed to allow pivoting • When crossing uneven terrain, this pivot point

will help the quad road to conform more closely to the environment .
