SPIRITUAL LIFE Are you looking for insight and practical help for your spiritual journey? St. Michael’s Spiritual Life Commission would like to invite you to join us in reading and reflecting on “The Fulfillment of All Desire - A Guidebook for the Journey to God Based on the Wis-dom of the Saints” by Ralph Martin. We will meet Thursday evenings from 6PM to 7:30PM at St. Michael’s Church to discuss a chapter from Martin’s wonderful guide to holiness using the words and wisdom of the sev-en doctors of the Latin Church. All are welcome, no matter where you are in your spiritual journey! The first chapter will be discussed Sep 12 at 6PM followed by a new chapter each week. Boxes are located in the back of the Church for your donations to the Food Basket Raffle. Accepta-ble items are any non-perishable food items such as canned goods, crackers, etc.. Paper products, cleaning items, etc.. Thank you for your donations.

The Worker’s List for the Fall Festival is available in the back of Church. Please pick one up on your way out!

The Raffle tickets are available in the back of church, please pick up your envelope and return sold tickets to Frank Marsili. There are also flyers to post anyplace to help spread the word!

Vegetables and meat are needed for the soup. If in need of freezer room, please contact Cecilia Thiery at 812-547-3946. Please report items and amounts you will be donating.

Donated items are now being accepted for the Chinese and Silent Auc-tions. Items accepted can be Gift Baskets, hand-crafted items, etc.. For more information or to donate your items, please contact Martha Varner at 812-549-5095.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CLASSES Religious Education classes began on Wednesday, August 21st. Classes meet Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Enrollment forms have been mailed, but if you have not received an enrollment form and would like to enroll your child in the program, please stop by the religious education center on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 or contact Jeanne Harth at (812) 547-2179.

Catechetical Sunday is September 15th. On the weekend of September 14th and 15th , we recognize those who are called to be teachers and ask for God’s blessing and grace.

Mandatory Class for Grade 11

September 8, 2019 There will be a Mandatory meeting For Grade 11 students on Sunday, September 8th at 6 PM in Room 9 of the Catholic Ministry Center.

Grades 1-8 begin Grades 1-8 The 2019-2020 Reli-gious Education program begins. We will begin our program year with a Mass. All family members and friends are invited to attend Mass. Students will meet over in the Minis-try Center first, then proceed over to the Church. Following the Mass, we invite you to join us for ice cream in the Parish Hall

RCIA will start on Tuesday September 10 at 6:30PM in the Catholic Ministry Center. These classes will be for anyone who is wanting to join the Catholic faith or deepen their understanding of their Catholic Faith. Call the Ministry Center for more information.

RCIA For adults who are not yet Catholic and would like to Join the Catholic Church, please contact Megan Rust at 812-547-7102.

Wedding Preparation Please contact one of the priests to make arrange-ments as soon as possible after your engagement. We cannot guarantee a date for a wedding until you have spoken with a priest, and we typically need at least six months of preparation before the marriage, so couples should speak with a priest before making official arrangements with photog-raphers and the reception facility. We look for-ward to working with you to prepare your hearts and lives for entering into this wonderful sacra-ment.

Baptism Celebrations To have a child baptized contact Megan Rust at 812-547-7102. First time parents are required to go through the preparation process.

State Project 

The Daughters of Isabella are once again 

collec ng baby items for their state project, 

which is St. Elizabeth’s/Coleman Adop on 

Center in Indianapolis.  Any  baby clothes 

(new or slightly used),diapers and nice ma‐

ternity clothes will be sent to the Cen‐

ter.  They are now accep ng gi  cards in 

$5, $10, $15, and $20 increments.  If you 

would like to give gi  cards send them to

The containers for baby items will be
