ProCME Group companies are involved in the development of key-sectors of the economy, namely infrastructures and energy, decisive for the social and economic development of the countries in which they operate.
Each company within the Group, with full Portuguese management, benefits from the competences of each of the other Group companies.
This complementary relationship supported by a set of effective synergies is, in itself, one of the success factors of ProCME Group.
Group companies develop their activity in the areas of energy -
eletricity and gas -, telecommunications, water, hvac and building
services, environmental projects, information systems and industry.
CME, S.A. is the main Group company.
With a significant presence in practically every sector of activity, it came
to be the Group's starting point, allowing for the creation of companies
meant to occupy market slots complementary to its own.
From amongst those companies the following stand out:
. Tecneira Group, with the purpose of promoting and building electrical
energy power plants from renewable sources.
. ProRESI, with the purpose of processing and eliminating non-
dangerous industrial waste in landfill facilities, with the Economic
Activity Class (CAE) 90020, defined as «collection and processing of
miscellaneous waste.
In the african market the Group is presently
developing projects in Angola, Cape Verde and
Mozambique, countries with strong growth
perspectives.
In Angola, CME Angola has been participating,
associated with local companies, in business
proposals in the areas of electricity, energy, water
and telecommunications.
The company is set upon the goal of growing in the
areas of electricity and water, in which the PIP -
Public Interest Projects - are the most important.
In Cape Verde, within a set of contracts celebrated
with the Ministery of Tourism, Industry and Energy,
CME Cabo Verde has built a number of
infrastructures composed by 60 kV lines and
distribution networks in MV and LV, in the Island of
Santiago.
Inovantis, in Mozambique, has the purpose of
developing the Group's core activities in which it
has important know–how.
In the Industrial Services business area ProCME
Group is one of the world leaders in the
construction of:
Renewable energy installations, either
thermosolar, photovoltaic or wind power;
. Electrical energy, namely combined cycle and
hydraulic;
. Oil related assets, such as refineries and platforms
. Gas related assets, such as gas liquefaction, re-
gasification, and gas storage.

Carriço Underground Gas Storage
This project, attributed by Transgás – Sociedade Portuguesa de Gás
Natural, to a Consortium formed by CME/KBB/KOCH/BPC, comprised
two phases: the construction of caves in saline formations (rock salt),
located at a depth of about 1.000m, with a total capacity of over
250.000 cubic meters and, afterwards, the construction of a Natural Gas
Compression Plant. CME’s participation consisted on conceptual and
detail engineering of special installations, equipment supply and
assembly, the supervision and commissioning, throughout the
guarantee period, of all Low Voltage and High Voltage aboveground
electrical installations, security and surveillance systems, pipeline
construction and assembly and main fluids network components

A large project in the field of environmental requalification of thermal
power plants, the desulphurisation unit in the Sines thermal power
plant, with an installed capacity well over 1200 MW, allows the
processing of exhaust gases originating in coal combustion. It’s a
turnkey project, with a CME/Hitachi/Cobra consortium.

Industrial Installations
Experience and rigour
In the last few years, our industry and maintenance activities registered
an important growth, as a result of the work developed by the team
responsible for its management. CME is able to provide its clients with
the following services:
. Design and execution of active security installations;

Carriço Underground Gas Storage
This project, attributed by Transgás – Sociedade Portuguesa de Gás
Natural, to a Consortium formed by CME/KBB/KOCH/BPC, comprised
two phases: the construction of caves in saline formations (rock salt),
located at a depth of about 1.000m, with a total capacity of over
250.000 cubic meters and, afterwards, the construction of a Natural Gas
Compression Plant. CME’s participation consisted on conceptual and
detail engineering of special installations, equipment supply and
assembly, the supervision and commissioning, throughout the
guarantee period, of all Low Voltage and High Voltage aboveground
electrical installations, security and surveillance systems, pipeline
construction and assembly and main fluids network components
(water, gas and nitrogen).

HVAC and Building Services
This CME activity began in 1996, including specialised services in
heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), cold and hot water
networks, fire fighting systems, residual water and domestic pluvial
networks and also the so-called special installations like labs and
compressed air and steam networks.
The launch of this service has enabled CME to fill a gap in its portfolio of
services and attract new business through the provision of this service
in conjunction with related activities.
