Requirementbull PC with Windows XP or more recentbull Qualcomm phonebull Sauve all your information your device will be resetbull USB cable to available micro USBbull Unzipper software such as Winrar or 7zip for example See here for downloadbull Download the software and its pilot Qualcomm flash toolzip

Tool preparation1 Unzip all files in the same folder2 Install the USB Android pilot on Windows

bull Step 1 Connect your Android device to your computers USB portbull Step 2 Right click on Workstation on your computer or Windows browser and select

Properties Select Devices in the pane at rightbull Step 3 Search and click Other device in the pane at rightbull Step 4 Right click on the device name and select Update Driver Software It will launch

the Update wizardbull Step 5 Select Browse my computer to search pilot software and select Nextbull Step 6 Click Next and search the USB pilot folder (Try lo localize USB pilotes packages

for example latest_usb_driver_windows2014-09-12)bull Step 7 Click Next to install the pilot

3 Software installationFirst of all unzip the file Qualcomm flash toolzip then open the installation and execute the aplication Follow the instructions to finish installing the software Qmsct with setupexe

4 Driver installationbull Press and hold the Volume down and Power buttons simultaneously Place the battery and

enter the data Install the pilot select manually the USB-disk file Install the Qualcomm USB pilot

5 Qmsct configurationa Set up if the software is in Chinese languague

bull Open Qmsct app the following picture show you the screen

bull Click on Configuration menu - select Configuration as shown on the picture

bull Select Configuration as shown on the screenshot

bull Change the language English panel

b Download port settings Select Start setup process press and hold Volume - and Power simultaneously and then connect the USB cable Define following ports precising 1 and 4 as shown on the screenshot below

c Startup file settingsbull SWDOWNLOAD the XTT file corresponding is MSM8916_SoftwareDownloadWithCDT_

eMMC_Firehosextt You have to enter it when you connect for the first time

bull Save settings disconnect USB cable and restart QMSCT

select 89_16bull Select access path to the software file to download settings as shown on the screenshot Do not

forget the software path cant be in Chinese cant be too complex and the file name has to be as short as possible

bull Click to save settings disconnect the phone from its USB connection logout and restart QMSCT (very important)

bull Double click to execute QMSCT and press and hold Volume - and Power simultaneously connect USB cable the software begins updating automatically PASS in green indicates that the update is finished in red it indicates that the update has been unsuccessful

Note If platform Qmsct is discharged during a new installation you will have to delete the folder Qualcomm in DISK C and reinstall it otherwise all recent settings information will be stored in this folder what causes errors during entering Qmsct
