The site is a practical planning tool for runners - the place where runners can publish their running routes and invite other runners to run with them. To ensure stable and efficient work under heavy and peak loads we have used the memcache technology that allows to speed up dynamic database-driven websites by caching data and objects in memory, to reduce the number of times the database must be read. We monitor ongoing energy consumption and try to minimize it; Unused equipment is turned off; We only utilize TFT (flat screen) monitors; Our equipment is regularly maintained, repaired and upgraded; Old PCs are not thrown away, they are reused in other organizations;

Only luminescent and energy saving light bulbs are used in QArea office; We use mainly paperless documentation workflow and minimise printing;

Our employees prefer public transport and the tube; We use flexible start and finish working hours; Virtual working and telecommuting is encouraged if it is possible;

In the office the vast majority of our employees use ceramic cups and dishes instead of plastic disposable ones;
