QCPPI carries a line of heavy equipment used in the construction industry. It signed an exclusive distributor agreement with Dieci S.r.l. of Italy who are manufacturers of Self-loading Mixers, Telehandlers and Dumpers. They have over 118 different models applicable to various construction works. The company also sells Locatelli Rough Terrain Cranes from Italy.

Mix Design for Polished Concrete• Most standard mix designs are sufficient for polished concrete. Mix Design for Stamped Concrete ; Exposed Aggregate and Sandfinish & Pre-Construction Planning

•Consult General Contractor, Structural Engineer, Architect and Concrete Contractor prior to installation of concrete slab to ensure complete understanding of substrate preparation, reinforcement, penetrations, mix design, placing and finishing requirements, etc.

• Verify that the concrete slab will meet a minimum of 3,000 psi of compressive strength and has a minimum flatness rating of F35 as per ASTM E1155 – American Concrete Institute ACI302.IR-89, Guide for Concrete Floor and Slab Construction requirements in Division 3 Section "Cast-In-Place Concrete," and “Project Conditions.”

• Confirm that the General Contractor through coordination with other trades will be responsible for the protection of the slab during construction to ensure that no contaminants such as (but not limited to) oil, grease, paint, adhesives, flux, etc will be present at the time of concrete polishing.

Control Joints •Form weakened-plane contraction joints, sectioning concrete into areas as indicated with power saws equipped with shatterproof abrasive or diamond-rimmed blades. Set as computed intervals from 3 to 4 meters. •Cut 1/8 to 1/4-inch-wide joints into concrete when cutting action will not tear, abrade, or otherwise damage surface and before concrete develops random contraction cracks.

•Construct control joints for a depth equal to at least one-third of concrete thickness.

•In some conditions saw cutting is not permitted. Description does not distinguish conventional wet- and dry-cut saws from early-entry dry-cut saws. Timing is critical to sawed joints. Early-entry dry-cut saws have been used within one to two hours of finishing concrete. To leave concrete undamaged from sawing, conventional saw cutting must be delayed, usually 4 to 12 hours but not so long that uncontrolled cracking of concrete could occur.
