3Dimensions of QualityImpact of Quality. Quality is in the mind of the user. A poor-quality web site, one with many broken pages, faulty images, and error messages, etc. may cost in poor customer relations, lost corporate image, and even in lost revenue. Very complex web sites can sometimes overload the user. • Time – Frequency interval for keeping content current.• Structure – Pages fit together and function collectively.• Content – Well organized and relevant to the customer.• Consistency - Corporate Identity.• Performance – Response time & functionality. *sec 508

Architecture
• Browsers – Specify supported browser(s) and version.
• Sitemap – Organization… w/customer in mind.• Navigation – Consistent, easy to use, fast.• Response Time – Page loads should be fast.• Feedback – Obvious and meaningful.• Contact – Provide… address, phone #, email etc.
A web site can be complex, and that complexity -- which is what provides the power, of course -- can be an impediment in assuring web site quality. Add in the possibilities of multiple authors, very-rapid updates and the problem compounds.
